hahahahhahahahahahahaha sorry ... hahahahahahahahahahahaha not really sorry .... this is a lie ... its the only shooter for 40K so yeah it will have some seat somewhere but daaaamm i can play many other games and get a 40k skin and call it a premiere shooter for the 40k fans ... plus any fan who has half a brain cell will ask about it first / read about it and then make there own mind up and in all honesty TT players prefer RTS 40k games to bad 3rd person ones i know many a friend who has played this once or twice then said dow 1 / 2 is better or SC / starcraft etc etc sheesh what a bullshit quote - and nope i havent even read it .. might do if that beauty was in there lol
u say 'surge' like we will get a massive influx of people that couldnt shell out 10 quid for the humble bundle a few weeks ago i highly doubt we will see many more players or atleast a number that will affect anything in game or on BE's wallet and not to sound like a git ... i hope they dont buy any of the crap that is in the RTC store
well when there 's only one shooter like this it's kind of what happen. Remember the smart car is still classified the best in its categories when well the smart is alone in his category.
Well regardless of your opinion of the game state it's essentially true. Besides this there's what? Firewarrior which is way old. Space Marine which is dead besides a few holdouts, but there probably wouldn't even be that without the unreliable P2P hosting, regardless of if you like the mechanics better or not. As for current and alive all I can think of is Deathwing, and from what I saw it was less impressive. So yeah, it's above the small amount of competition.
I Love how through that entire interview they didn't say when all this was actually going to happen. Good job Nate, old habits die hard.
It'd be more than it is, but I think that ship has sailed. I'd gamble that it on a good day is still a fraction of this one on a bad. It also doesn't have playable xenos, so the fans of them have nowhere else to go. Personally I think it's okay, I think people hype themselves up at least a bit because they're salty about disappointed expectations, it's not like SM's balance is great even if everyone can get the same unbalanced weapons. I mean there's not even a cover system, it's all run and gun.
originally orkz were the f2p faction, but now they want to make it so you can technically access all factions but not go past rank 1 or something. either way I don't see this as a big problem, i'm just surprised it took them so long to implement it in some way.
The restrictions for elites are access to all basic classes except jump pack assaults, no access to elites (I THINK, but im not sure if veterans for the included basic classes count), 33% requisition/exp rate (with the other 66% being banked until you upgrade the game), and no RTC from campaigns (banked like the requisition/exp). So you won't be playing as a gimped unit, but your type of unit is more limited.
I know that normally, "Game went F2P" is associated with game sales failure, which is probably true here. But it's kind of an odd insult to throw here since the game was intended to have F2P since it's first iteration. Almost everyone that backed/bought the game at the start was conscious the game was going to have F2P I think most of us are relieved it's actually happening, rather than sad about it.
