Well, I fully support PETA's letter and clearly realize total unacceptability of many aspects of Wh40k's lore. Having read that letter I've decided to gather additional offensive issues which this blasphemous fantasy universe swarms with: 1. Remove Howling Banshee aspect from Eldar lore - it's unacceptable that their shrines consist mostly of females - women arent supposed to serve in military ranks! Moreover, there is a case in Valedor novel where an exarch leading a banshee shrine is a male - this is sexism and a disgusting example of masculine oppression of females! 2. Make Jain Zar, the Phoenix Lord of howling banshees, the founder of the Path, not Asurmen - again, the current state of the lore implies that a man-pig taught a female as his pupil - masculine oppression! This includes total rewriting and republishing of Gav Thorpe's novel "Asurmen: Hand of Asuryan" as a primary source of this part of the lore. 3. Vulkan is black amongst the white primarchs - racism! Make all the primarchs black-skinned! 4. Remove Wyches from Dark Eldar - first, this is sexism again and, secondly, it implies that half-naked females fight for pleasure and entertainment of plebeians! 5. Rewrite battle scenes of these novels and republish them again in new editions: Void Stalker, Fulgrim, Angel Exterminatus - these are the novels where howling banshees battle space marines and eventually lose, no matter how many space marines die at their blades. This is an example of implied male supremacy over females- sexism! Phew! Looks like this is it (for now). I'll update this info as soon as I find something else (and I'm sure I will!). Stay tuned.
