Simple question, are swooping hawks supposed to be able to hover in the air indefinitely? Because if not the Eldar have some exploitation going on. Semi-related question: is the Hunter's Mark supposed to be able to insta-kill a tactical in artificer armor at full health?
A swooping hawk weapon, and if they arent supposed to be able to sit in one place in the air indefinitely then there is indeed something weird going on.
When they aim down sights, they can hover almost indefinitely, this is intended, it also makes them an easy target. And no the hunters mark cannot one shot you.
Swooping hawks can fly forever,in fact, I've played 3 games as the SH today, and I still haven't landed, cursed to fly until Ynnead is born.Continuing on, the Hunter's Mark was used by the Emperor to 360 quickscope Horus so I don't see why it can't kill a tactical scrub with one shot.
You realize sitting in one spot for a long time makes them sitting ducks right? If anything they screw themselves if they do it too much.
Oh you mean the hover, well you can sit there for a long time. But good hawks won't, it makes you a sitting duck...
Also keep in mind the "wing clip" mechanic and the effect of extra fuel on a swooping hawk. Wing clip: shoot a flying/hovering hawk a couple times and they fall out of the sky. Having a 2nd fuel charge as a hawk: even after being "clipped" a hawk with a 2nd charge of fuel can hit the jump button and regain flight (I JUST learned this). Keep these in mind when fighting against swooping hawks.
What's the deal with Hunter's Mark though? It seems to have a ttk faster than any of the weapons in the game that don't just one shot.
