"A charming offer that's just as good as all the others you've given me. I'll accept it." Athernia replied before shaking his hands, letting the words act as the final back-handed insult over the matter of leadership. With that said, she then left the bar to go and count the treasury that was now hers to oversee.... And perhaps, see if there were anyways to improve the gang's cash flow by perhaps investing some money into what the gang already had such as improving the bar or the apartments, along with hiring the extra members that Biam wanted for both the bar and the apartment.
@Casavay "I apologize, wasss only trying to help." he said with a bow of his head apologetically to guppy. It seem things had gotten tense between the two Eldar, and the sslyth not helping. But fortunately things seemed to have sorted themselves out without need for bloodshed. To think he would have to worry more about these group of creatures of killing one another more than what others would see a pack of violent hunters from a deathworld. His elder could have never properly perpare him for this during his mentoring. Getting up with some difficulty, but leaving behind the bottle, he stood back up. @Maleth @Uriel1339 "Now with you two in agreement, what do you both propose as our next move?" he asked them, hoping they have a plan or a sense of one. Maybe even get them to work with each other in better spirits, however unlikely that might be.
~~ The Following Days ~~ @TuskatheDaemonKilla | @BuriasDempsey | @Vulpas | @GoreWrencha | @Keidivh | @BadDo9 | @Casavay | @Maleth Over the next days Artemis was properly taken care of, as per Guppy's instructions of what might be most appropriate of a Pelager. Due to the unknown nature of her original clan they proceeded with Cilith traditions, to rather honor her with a strong and powerful funeral not so cheesy and weakish like most others. After her having been taken care of, Atherina and Biam discussed the plans for the clan, put the news of recruitment out and actually got quite some interesting characters to join the Void Sharks. However there were also bad news, such as Urkrag leaving to do his own thing. But where he left, an awkward monstrosity had joined... NEW MEMBERS! Severath (@TuskatheDaemonKilla ) - A Fallen Necron Lord Urkrag's Minion sees Severath as some sort of a father figure. Purrity (@Vulpas ) A Felinid Space Pirate Pilot Ace recruited by Kharos himself, capable of flying anything that's smaller than a frigate Cha'luk - A Carapace-clad Rak'Gol Marauder Hans - A former Arbites Enforcer with heavy Riot Armor and Blast Shield along with a chainsword Martin the Dragonslayer - A Kroot with a Powered 2-Handed Polearm and primitive metal armor Delores van Gastenburg - A Female Human in the middle-30s, Noblewoman, Diplomat, Trader and head of her former prestigious house before the Hermedes caused their downfall - now single survivor of the family. NEW MISSION! After everyone was settled in and given their duties and apartments in the new complex, the group got together as Biam and Atherina also settled on the next mission. "Now that you all know a bit of each other, here is the next mission we planned. We are going to eradicate the Cadian Bandits. They are about our strength and we know where they are, who they are and what kind of equipment to expect. They still possess their warehouse which is their independent property with a vehicle bay, good storage - the complete package. Which makes it an excellent target for our test of our new leadership as well as an expansion of territory." Biam started, taking looks for a moment at everyone, as if keeping headcount. "This is the plan. A three-fold attack. Atherina will lead the attack against the warehouse, securing the area. In the meanwhile I will lead negotiations through Delores via comm-beads in a private meeting with one the Cadian's second in command, talking about potential trade agreements and an alliance as a farce, really only gathering them so we can strike them down - inspired by Commorrite tactics." He winked at Atherina. "Delores will be guarded by Cha'luk, Tan'ku, Hans, Martin and Vandu - this will allow the newcomers to prove themselves under my watchful eye." "The third fold of the attack is going to be led by Fardir and Irlisa. Our two Eldar will make sure that an on-going transport is going to be stopped before arriving at the headquarters, since they seemed to have spent their money in new recruits similar to ourselves. They will be given a demolition pack and intercept them." "Which leaves the rest of you - Clint, Nehk'kaar Shadowbane, Carak, TessSha, Sselesstleia, Severath, Kharos, Purrity and.... Urkrag's Monstrosity - under Atherina's leadership. We expect the leader and his elite bodyguards to be present as well as the majority of their force, so proceed with caution. Especially given that we have no layout plans, which means you have to improvise as you arrive. In order to allow you to be stealthy you will have to walk over there. It's luckily only a few blocks away at the edge of the industrial sector. Nearby the warehouse you killed that Tau woman at last mission." Biam explained, leaving no room for questions - in his opinion. But still, he asked. "Any questions?" OOC: For reasons of inactivity @Keidivh 's Irlisa & @Xaphen 's Fardir are still members of the gang but mostly guards while the rest of you are on missions; they still can be tagged along and will function as NPCs if done so. Kharos had been listening to the btire briefing his cape not on this time, Over the last few days he had been somewhat in shock by one of the new members, It was odd what questions had been going through his mine and even pings of e motion as Kharos saw a being similar to him. Were they built by the same beings or was there a possibility they came from the same race? Kharos had to ask him but not now currently a mission was being planned out and it was not the time for personal questions. Now was the time for figuring out there next mission and how he and Purrity, could best assist them. "Would there possibility that we could find a contact or someone willing to betray the cadians and possibly from tbre inside to get us a layout on the mission or possibly with any time before" Kharos asked wondering if they
"I tried, but nobody really had ever been inside, they guard it like it was the Cadian Gate itself." Biam mused, trying to easen up the tense air with a small joke.
"Interesting, When we manage to get inside if we find a cognitor I could attempt to break in and get a layout when we get in." Kharoe suggested as he put a his hand to his chin thinking.
Severath was 'sitting' or at least the closest thing someone with the lower half of a skeletal snake could muster in the front of the bar. He listened to the knife eared creature's plan and found it satisfactory with nothing particularly wrong with it seeing it as a quick way to do away with a rival faction on this world as such he didn't have any questions. He decided to join these creatures because he simply had nothing better to do with his supposed immortality and figured he might as well enjoy himself every once and a while and interact with these creatures. Though he was pleasantly surprised to see a cryptek among them though he clearly didn't belong to his dynasty he would take any interaction with own of his kind when he could. Now this other stranger creature that seemed to be cobbled together from parts of other creatures seemed to have imprinted on him which was he would admit a little endearing. He had always wanted a pet when he was young and here one presented itself in his old age. Though his metal face didn't show any expression or move for that matter he was quite pleased by how things were going so far.
While Carack wasn't sure what the Cadian Gate was, but the joke made him chuckle a little anyways. His wounds have healed nicely and he was back in his normal attire with lifted spirits. This was a straightforward hunt, something nice and simple for them to get back into the swing of things after dealing with their loss, though he wished he could see how all the new members were in combat. Another time perhaps. "It all sssoundsss sssimple enough." he commented on their plan. Briefly, he wondered if he should do a divination ritual for this mission but decided against it. If there was something bad bound to happen, it would just be something that would distract the group while they go about their mission. Besides, now with Athernia made the clear leader for their end of the hunt, perhaps small tactical problems won't be the bane of their existence as it was in their last hunt.
Clint stood in a corner, making sure that his rife and his new grapple launcher, something the Tau couldn't resist for both tactical and reasons of his aesthetic, we calibrated and in working order. He'd become slightly distant lately, and the fact that no one really took time to speak to the Tau didn't help that too much. He pulled out a medallion and flicked it in the air a few times. "I might be able to get in." he said, grabbing the coin from the air. "Might be able to meet up with some friends with my mission. Convince them to take leadership and run the Cadians as subordinate to us. At the least, might be able to use it as an excuse to get the leaders to meet us. If that ends as the case, I'll trust you to give it back."
Guppy was sitting on a stool, still messing around with her new goggles. Today, she was simply still wearing them, even though there was absolutely no use for IR vision in this friendly place. The toy was a nice distraction from Artie's demise, and though she had cared for a proper ending to that story, it still affected her more than she'd like to admit. Right now, however, a goggled Pelager listened carefully to the situation, and voiced her personal concerns when she had a chance to do so - "Is this going to be an open firefight? Because even with the drop, I'm pretty sure we aren't up to Cadian par. These guys learn shooting like we learn thrifting."
