<Ruined Village> Gunther heard Ulrichs call and he headed back but not before glancing back at the forest hoping he'd see a pair of eyes or something along those lines. <Now> Gunther entered the city unclean with dried blood and marks covering him he looked around for a town guard but saw those two men and saw the mage headed towards them he would follow suite and listen to what she had to say to this Arthur, Gunther then looked at Arthur and spoke. "Has their been women and children being taken in the last couple of weeks?"
Once in the town Cyntheria looked around and was being very careful to spot out anything that didn't look right. She saw the villagers and looked to Noburo as if a little on edge and worried before noticing the dog and the others trying to get the poor animal. She went close to the dog and knelt down to gently call it over. She took a cloth and got it wet. She held it out to see if he was thirsty and carefully looked it up and down to see what she could do to help him heal. She turned her glance to the others and asked. "If you all don't mind this town would have better supplies for me to use. I can do what anyone needs me to."
Ulrich looked at Asher with a dour expression. He scanned the mercenary from head to toe and fixed an appraising stare for a moment before answering. "In a way, what is this about?" The elder of the village was polite enough to just sit down and wait for the two men to finish talking.
Red, walked slowly into the village the crusade group he was sent to aid was near, and he had been walking most of the time to catch up to them, Nearing the village he spotted one of the members looking like he was feeding a stray, Deciding to approach he could see the dog was semi malnourished, Reaching into his bag he took out a odd bar of animal fat, meat, and berries, then dropped it near the dog, "Wouldn't be lucky enough to have a owner now would you girl?" Red said looking to the dog the only part of his face that could be seen by the dog were his eyes, looking down to the dog, filled with experience and partial sadness and a depression. "So are you one of the members that are taking part in the crusade?" Red asked now looking to the man trying to feed the dog dried meat. @GrimFritz
The dog was very friendly, it was used to people and happily took every treat and scratch given to it. It's movements were lazy and sluggish, like that of an old tired dog, despite being in prime age. On closer look one could see subtle bite marks on the dogs side partially hidden by the fur, it's gums also lacked color and the dog's canine teeth were bleeding from their gums, staining it's treats in blood. As for the bite marks, they were a weird pattern, something before unseen. Not another dog or a snake, no animal left bite marks like that, that was for damn sure. "There you are, Hay!" A young boy and a girl ran for the dog who greeted the kids with a tail wag, recognizing them apparently. focusing on the food and water given to it mostly. "We thought wolves got you, you were gone forever!" The girl said and hugged the dog called Hay. The boy kept his distance, seeing foreigners and armed adults who were new scared him. Seeing the other townsfolk shouting nearby put the kids on edge, the girl didn't seem to mind for some reason. "Who are you people? You are not from around here..." The boy asked, still at a distance. Arthur and the other townsfolk gathered nearby looked at the ferret confused, talking animal was a first in these parts. "Did that rat just talk..?" someone asked from the back but Arthur quickly shouted on further inquiries. "YES! FOR FUCKS SAKE, IT'S ALL GOING TO HELL!" Arthur bristled at Gunther's question, but Gunther's size alone calmed him down somewhat. "FIRST, THOSE ELUSINE FUCKS TAKE MY ELDEST SON FOR A WAR IN SOME ROTTEN SAND COUNTRY WE CANT EVEN PRONOUNCE, THEN MY DAUGHTER GETS SLAUGHTERED BY WOLVES LAST MONTH AND NOW! AND NOW THEY TOOK MY YOUNGEST SON!! FROM MY OWN HOUSE, THEY BROKE INTO MY FUCKING HOME!" Arthur was shouting on the top of his lungs, he might just be more angry than a barbarian berserker right now. He swung his axe about as he shouted and people took a fair distance, trying not to get hit. "Arthur please, not in front of the outsiders." His friend said nervous, glancing about the village, looking out for something. "WE'VE PAID ENOUGH! NO MORE FUCKING TRIBUTES! I'VE HAD IT! I'LL KILL THEM ALL MYSELF!" "Arthur! That's enough, this doesn't concern them!" "I'LL SHOW YOU WHAT CONCERNS YOU RIGHT NOW!" Arthur smacked his axe on the wall of a nearby house and punched the other man in the face, breaking a nose at least. Other townsfolk kept their distance, Arthur was a big burly man and extremely angry. @Maleth @Vulpas @Shadhunter @BloodySoulStealer @Colapse @TuskatheDaemonKilla @Valonox @OgrynLord @GrimFritz @Vlayden
Ferdinand dismounted his horse when the man grew violent he didn't draw his weapons seeing no need for them at the moment. He approached the angry man from behind, while he was rather big and burly to the other town's folk Ferdinand was wearing armor and rather large himself. Once close enough he pulled on the man's collar using his strength to pull the man away from the one he was attacking. Then ins a solid motion he pulled the man behind him and swung an armored fist at the man's face. Not the nicest way of settling a civil disputes but quite frankly in the north the two would already be swinging axes at eachother at this point.
Was road-worn, with muddy boots and some dried crimson stains on his clothing. Seems like he was travelling for a fair amount of time, "I'm looking to join the group. There were rumors of a crusade and of great glories, therefore I am here."
Shaila dismounted her horse and approached Ferdinand from behind. She gripped him tightly by the shoulder and threw him to the side. "Do you settle everything with your fists?! This, this right here, is how you piss a village off! You want to end the conflict, not start one! What if I'd just punched you with my gauntlet? How would that make you feel? I'm sure you'd sit down and be a good little boy wouldn't you? No, you'd be up in arms against me." She shook her head in disgust before she turned to Arthur. "Hey. Arthur was it? You said the Knights did this? Can we talk like civilized people? No punches, no axes, just talk. Let me see if I can help?" She nodded reassuringly. "Tell me what happened."
Ferdinand looked at Shalia for a moment. "If you intended on talking that man down, his friend with the broken nose was attempting the same thing. He would have struck you too, you people talk too much when action is required. I will say no more." Ferdinand then walked over to his horse.
"Well looks like things maybe heating up." Red said before looking to the girl, "Me? personally I don't have a home anymore, Well most of us seem to be knights but I am a Merc sent here to aid them, Say do you know where you lost your dog to these wolves?" Red asked looking to the girl wondering if there was a way to rid the village of these wolves and get some pelts. Red Decided to hang back before approaching the group they seemed like a weird lot.
