Probably won't be able to do much until tomorrow evening as well as my vehicle is in the shop and needs attention in the morning so I will have my hands full temporarily. You can go ahead and make a double post if you would like to explore on your own (within limitations of not doing anything drastic such as OMG WE'RE ON ENDER NOW!) Apologies for not being able to update.
Posting again once I get out of class (three-four hours) from now. Also did a little more updating to the Manifest to help explain things once the entire Manifest is open at the conclusion of the over-extended prologue. Will try to advance things rapidly soon so that we can wrap it up by Saturday evening and begin the missions. First mission posting will be the evening of whenever the Prologue concludes in addition to open joining by anyone who is interested. To those who have already been in the Prologue, its conclusion will come with some added bonuses for loyalty. There will also be a poll regarding the first destination between three sites, each will have a different overall branching campaign.
The door to the lift is essentially damage beyond repair by the explosive blast of the elevators release. Think of it in terms of two buildings standing next to each other, one is now leaning against the other which has cause it in turn to sag against its opposite, while both are still standing, they are irrefutably incapable of being modified physically or metaphysically at this point (with the resources at your disposal).
