So there is very little information on the Advancement screen right now.

What I am trying to do is unlock a veteran class, but I have unlocked various different abilities and can't progress the tree further (to unlock Veteran).

Now maybe, its me but I just think they've tried to implement a superflous amount of complexity with the skill trees (Orks being a mess, Eldar funky pattern, same with Chaos, etc) and have thrown intuitiveness out the window.

Now I know the UI in general is very very lacking in usability, but can we at least have something explaining why I'm roadblocked on certain skill tree advancements?

Also would be useful if we could tag Christine here. She is probably very well aware of the problem as the issues are a little too obvious.

advancement are segmented by ranks which are outlined segments on advancement tree.

So I have to be Rank 5 to unlock veteran?

Would be nice if each area got highlighted to indicate what is locked/unlocked in that case

they are highlighted by long bright-white lines on your advancement screen. The only way to make it even more obvious is placing a large "rank X" pattern on the whole surface

EDIT: not to mention description which clearly says which rank is required

I dunno what they plan on doing with points in launch but I'm drowning with like over 400 points now and nothing to spend them on haha.

Yeah they said it was an accelerated rate. So probably will be more moderate

To the left and a little up from the icon when you click on one on the info on the left side of the screen. I think it goes away once you unlock it though and just says the description of the item.

The advancement tree is one of the most barebone cheap looking things ever. It needs some damn graphics with roadways looking things, so you can see nicely defined paths instead of a little crap lines connecting weapons and armor upgrades
