Of course not, people throw money into all sorts of terrible stuff, and just because I like this game doesn't mean it will be better if I put more money into it. But one thought is, if the project didn't have enough money inserted into it, is that what caused the early launch? People say "Publisher pressure" like it is something you can somehow resist. Everyone wants to make money, so when money is coming in people tend not to care as much. When money is flowing out based on the concept of "investment" everyone gets nervous. But you are right, money doesn't make it better. But, my opinion was anchored in my experience with the developers, their transparency, and their dedication to the project (not to mention their proficiency in getting things done). Nothing is perfect, I have my criticisms, I don't hold them back.... But I also know when I see a good thing.
I bought a 150 dollar captain pack way back when and even though I am enjoying the game I don't feel like they deserve anymore money from me until more initial content is actually delivered. I still believe in them but things are a bit to uncertain to warrant more donations right now.
For me it's a tough one to answer, I bought a captains pack and subbed for awhile. I have enough hours on my steam profile to feel I have a decent return on this and as it was so long ago and I still enjoy the game and play it daily when I can I would not be opposed to buying something else to help the game. The big but to all this though is I also bought the pioneer pack and the loot Ork relic weapon which I have yet to receive or be told when to expect it which really is unacceptable. Bottom line deliver what people have already paid for before you offer anything else
Just throw money at the game, no. But if they add is more cosmetics that are worth purchasing then most likely.
No. I'm not even spending the RTC I have on my account because the cash shop is disgusting. They're not gonna get any more money from me, under no circumstances.
The cosmetics aren't exactly super fairly priced, i will happily agree with this. It's actually quite insane right now. But if they release some cool new pay to unlock-classes (fairly cheap), adjust the prices a little on looks and relics and keep a continuous stream of badass cosmetics rolling out the door, i can definately see how people would keep investing money. I think the cosmetics are expensive right now because there are so few, and if youu could get all of them for a couple of bucks....well, you cant make more money, because they already own the game, AND the cosmetics. Once the volume goes up, people will have more things to spend their RTC on, and the price will go down because they can still make people spend their money. Supply and demand in action.
Depends what I would get in return. Instantly. Post release games do not get the same credit of the doubt as EA games.
As I've said they won't get any more money from me, no matter for what. People told them the cash shop is a stupid idea and to not do it and just include the cosmetics for free and charge for expansions instead. They calmed us down with "prices will be reasonable" and now look what we have. We're talking about a 50€ game (which isn't even worth 30) here not an F2P title and anything that looks remotely cool is locked behind a paywall. That's not pay2win but it's not a fair payment model. To me that's plain disgusting, so no, from me they won't get a single more cent.
