Please don't bring that here, that's the type of post that starts the heresy... I may play LSM the most, but I've played each of the factions and we're all equally lemming like and die in equally stupid ways.
Problem is that's a fine line since they'll be forced into tanking situations which they have thus far been able to zerg due to their increase sprint speed, allowing them to get in the fight quicker.
Aye. Really, that's a good chunk of the problem, you'll have a person run through the same door twenty times when it's guarded by one guy with a well-set gun or two, and then they spend the rest of the match screaming about OPness. A friend that got into the game just today from listening to me blather about my misadventures elsewhere got a 52/1 K/D on a match from proper placement of a Shiruken Catapult. This is the people we are trusting to feedback balance for!
One of the huge issues other races have atm is that they don't have a dedicated slot for effective AT and I don't blame them at all for not sacrificing a slot for that. Keep in mind I specifically say "sacrifice". For Eldars, its not a sacrifice at all. Other classes like, SM/CSM already have to sacrifice two slots for effective play and most of course only sacrifice one, because two is way too much. I'm talking about the Lascannon and the Multimelta. Marines get criticized for not bringing meltas as much as they should, but they just don't have the slots if they want to have fun with other classes. Eldar get two presets for that. They get a reaper with launcher, which while not on par with a lascannon, its what we have and the even more important melta Fire Dragon. Those two alone cover the tactical requirements every other race has to bring by sacrificing a slots. The fix is not to take away those presets, but to help out everyone else. Give a melta preset and a lascannon preset to both SM and CSM, then you will finally see them operating in a better way instead of everyone relying on "someone else" to bring both necessary tools. In my experience, most will only sacrifice the slot for the lascannon and ignore the melta.... hell, because of the current state of Heavy Bolters they may even ditch both and just bring HB So what I'm trying to say here, is that everything thats wrong with the game is the fault of the HB /s Orkz are just screwed iono
But that's exactly why SM and CSM are losing.Orks are currently underpowered so I understand, but SM and CSM have high-tier weapons and should win in melee fights, unless they haven't practised enough or are not familiar with the melee rules, hence why Eldar seems superior on every field.
That seems like an issue of hard counters, and situational uses, for instance the eldar's hard counter to deployed HB is both the striking scorpion and the swooping hawk, compared to JPA/Raptor/Stormboy, and Charged plasma. This all became muddled due to the current update removing 2/3rds of out base weapons via a time wall/lotto
