Yeah i roleplay, as an Imperial Fist tactical marine (with the bolter). Not rushing into melee and wasting ammo. Setting up positions to defend and attack a spot, never going for executions (if i must i kill them with melee or ranged but not with the execution per say cause it opens up your defences, something a imperial fist would never do).
I only have one loadout on my Chaos space marine. It's named after him. All of the other slots are filled with custom loadouts named 'None' that have a bare bones Traitor. Occasionally I upgrade his gear, otherwise that's just how he rolls.
Well this is great but does it mean you are never retreating from combat even when you are greatly outnumbered? Not reviwing your team mates couse you can see enemy on the other side of map? Too much roleplaying is making you bad player if we are talking about co-op aspect of the game.
I wouldn't say "Roleplay" but I do keep my character in theme as best I can. I use the pink bolt gun, and MoS. When I play as ground assault I also make sure to use swords as axes and clubs are unrefined weapons. But that is about the extent of things.
Usually I keep the chatlines to something thematic for the faction I'm playing at the present, but otherwise, not a high priority.
Honestly, this is the only game wherein I don't get mad if people RP to the detriment of the team. You want to go full Khorne and run screaming into a hail of HB fire? Good on ya. Glad somebody's getting that into it.
