Not sure what forum this would be more appropriate in, either way you'll get a kick out of it. So had the chance to play the (Browser based) online game transformers-online. They just announced their founder's packs. My god has inflation kicked in using vtech lmao ? nearly $500 for a browser game? https://www.transformersuniverse.com/founders-pack You gotta see it to believe it. This IS with the approval of hasbro also....you know the toy company thats made bilions off generation of children. Yet another example of what I hope Eternal Crusade avoids doing when they finally announce their founders pack. Cuz lemme tell ya, this isnt the way to do it....
Hope they post how many people got the highest pack. I wonder how many people would spend that much on any game, I am hard pressed to justify spending $100.
i would...but it had better be some damn (goodies) in there. stuff both ingame and IRL. like statues, figurines, posters. Though there isnt a game on creation i would spend $500 on...
Not even a VR game? (Not talking about occulus, im talking about ACTUAL VIRTUAL REALITY, WHERE YOU CAN TOUCH THINGS!!
Yea..if any type of package (or w/e) in your game costs the same as a new console..you're doing it wrong.
Not as long as someone buys it. Given the current prices of Games Workshop, this thread feels a bit like the proverbial glass house, with an ample supply of bricks. That being said, maybe that's just me, but Transformers doesn't strike me as being an IP that has a sufficiently zealous fanbase to have many people cough up that kind of money. 40k, Battletech, Elite, Shadowrun ... any one of these franchises has a loyal following that would see at least some people part with that kind of money - thus justifying such offers. But Transformers? >_> Eh, I guess it doesn't hurt them to try.
