I don't think I can do it anymore.

    I'm still fairly new so I don't tend to touch vehicles, because I don't know the best places to park them. I do switch loadouts and try to hunt down transports when I spot them though.
  2. Then you are the odd one out at the moment. Keep it up, it's the key to victory.
  3. Shame orks kinda lack anti-vehicle stuff. It's a decent long while before you get anything tat can even dent vehicles.

    It only feels like we're second because we never fight the other races, Orks are still the worst race. Eldar are the only ones close, but even then I still think they're better.

    The only argument you could make for that is the Ork playerbase being almost as bad as LSM's.

    From a game standpoint, not a player standpoint, orks have the worst stuff available to them in almost every category, including vehicles. I'm not sure how that doesn't make us the worst race. Check out the power klaw thread, it's got a video with our klaw going TWICE as slow as a PF. #orkbalancing

    Not all weapons are worse, in my personal opinion

    The biggest problem for orks weapon wise is that we have no true answer to the power sword or power fist i find personally i know people say the electric axe is the answer to power sword but it really dosnt feel like it to me,

    Once upon a time the klaw was the answer to the power fist but since the recent nerfs, buffs, nerfs, buffs etc the klaw is very slow

    also the orks have the worst AV capability in the game, we have no true melta/Grav Variant of weapons and the weapons which should be kitted out for AV are more useful taking out inf (only exception is probably the zapgun)

    but even then if i have to be fully honest orks still manage to cope when they work together and not as a bunch of ferral gitz!

    1. Wargear options are the best. You have +32 health for 120 LP. LSM get +25 armor for 150 LP. Rusty gob is another option for 150 LP. CSM have marks which have built into them for 150lp. Orks are at the very worst equal to LSM and superior to CSM. Accessories seem to be identical across the 4 factions.

    Not to mention that Orks get stikkbomb/sticky stikkbomb bundles. That makes them equivalent to LSM and superior to CSM in this aspect.

    2. Weapons are the best.

    Melee: Orks do not have powersword but they do have everything else. You can say klaw is underpowered and I would agree with you but nobody really uses powerfist anyway. I think it's stupid that I haven't found choppa lifesteal mod yet and I'm into my 12k boxes. Burny choppa is amazing though.

    Ranged:

    Orks are #1 here by far.

    They have the ace dakka which is better than the AC.

    Dakka deffgun is same as HBolter.

    They have a lascannon but not the burning light lascannon which makes them equivalent to CSM for lascannons but under LSM for lascannons.

    Kannon is a weaker version of the prenerf plasma cannon which means it's superior to current plasma cannon. I think it's hilarious they still haven't fixed the reload bug. Somehow it's apparently intentional since they don't have reload animations.

    In terms of tactical equivalent weapons the orks come out yet again with the shoota being equivalent to bolter. It's far superior at short range but far inferior at medium/long. In most situations it's better by far.

    Orks have rodeo shoota which is roughly equivalent to a storm bolter, but nothing is as good as vengeance storm bolter. This makes Orks at least equal to CSM and inferior to LSM if you include vengeance storm bolter.

    Orks have rokkit launcha. If you don't think this is overpowered you need to get better. It's AV and AI all in one class. Corkscrews can make hitting things hard sometimes but you can plan around them with enough experience. Nobody else has a rokkit equivalent.



    3. Let's go look at healer.

    The best comparison is to LSM's apothecary, at which the LSM apoth is better because it can equip bolter and how small their healnades are. Painboy is still great due to how strong the ork pistols are. I am excited to try the vengeance stormbolter equivalent pistol in the Sparkky Slugga. Zip slugga is great though.

    Just don't underestimate how easy it is to get kills with the poison syringe and poison grenades.

    Painboy is prettymuch the worst at being an actual healer of the 4 healers, but with 287 hp and big vials it can have ridiculous survivability. Healnades, while being worse than LSM's, can still do good work at making an point unattackable due to the constant regen of healnades.


    4. Now let's look at capping classes.

    Ork is like CSM in that they have 2 capping classes.
    Ork is like LSM in that they have a shield class.
    LSM's shield class can't cap because it has a shield. For some reason this doesn't apply to Orks since their shield class can cap.

    So we have rokkit boy who is literally the best class in the game, plus a shield class capping. Not to mention healnades can be stuck to points healing the boy capping.

    I don't see how you can make the argument that Orks don't have the best cappers.

    Therefore you are wrong. If you have problems with orks it's either you or the playerbase.

    Granted, they can get the highest effective hit points, but armor is often more effective.


    They can't have the best weapons if they lack the powersword. It's the best melee weapon out there. The klaw is underpowered compared to the powerfist, it's not the same thing. Burny choppa lacks the penetration that every other faction get on their on hit weapons. Well, except for the poison chainsword of CSM, which is also more dangerous.


    Dakka deffgun is much worse than the HB, especially when it comes to accuracy and recoil. HB is a single point direct stream of bullets, the dakka is all over the place.

    Ace is better than AC, but worse than Abaddon's grace.

    Kannon is way worse than even the current plasma cannon (which while "nerfed", is still one of the best heavy weapons around). It's recoil, area of impact and reload time is a big dampener on its power. Not to mention the trajectory.

    Far superior is an exaggeration. It's less accurate, and the bolter wins out with all the mods. The big shoota however, is better, but then you've the storm bolter to compare it too. Of course, you also have that plasma gun which is like a portable plasma deffgun with about half the firerate. Orkz would have loved to have something that powerful, or the more or less instant death of melta or the power of gravs.

    They do get the rokkits, but meltas are comparable now that they're anti-infantry weapons. You've more range, potentially more targets, but much more susceptible to melee and slower to get going. You're also slower at AV.


    Yes, let's. It's already well known that they're the worst healers in the game. Their upsides don't quite make up for it, even though Ork survivability can benefit more than most from their inferior healing grenades.


    Noone has ever said that the rokkit boy is the BEST class in the game, except you (which just puts further doubt as to your competence on judging game balance). It's again pretty well known that the JPA takes that prize, and always has since well before launch.

    Double cappers is great, no doubt, but CSM does it better.


    The game is extremely melee favored right now, and has been for a long time. One of the main reasons that Orkz are the worst faction, and has been for a long time, is that their reach is roughly half of everyone else. The other factions can run away from a RMB spamming Ork. Orkz can't run away from anyone (indeed, they even take more damage from behind), and neither can the other factions when facing each other, but they can run away from a RMB spamming ork. So much melee, and this disadvantage plays out again and again for the Orkz in all the duels there is. That spring attack not connecting, but the enemy's does, and so on.

    They can, well, compete, but most players will find their winning percentage increase with the actual best faction; CSM. Again, undisputed more or less, except by you. Every reset of the map due to a patch repeats itself, the maps turn more and more red. It's not a coincidence. They've every advantage, they're mostly just a slightly improved version of LSM.

    It's the xenos that have fallen behind. Well, the Eldar have. The Orkz were never really up there to begin with.

    There a few things you didn't mention or got wrong though that drastically change this accounting
    1. We don't get an accuracy aura for squad leaders all other races do (+1 worst)
    2. We don't get melta guns (grav guns are literally just better melta guns too) all other races do ( +1 worst)
    3. Rokkits are super innacurate past 20m or so and any LSM with a brain stem has learned to roll out of rokkits. and then kill us in the 4 seconds it takes to fire a second one. I'll still give you the better though because they do outside Plasma Guns, which is their real equivalence target.
    4. Dakka Deffgun is worse than the heavy boltor, don't know where you got that from. It has worse recoil and worse damage for getting only 60BPM, a whole 1 extra bullet per second fired. (-1 better, +1 worst)
    5. Ace Dakka does less damage and less penetration but also has less recoil than Chaos AC. I'll call that even (-1 better, +1 even)
    6. Kannon Deffgun a shitty PC with no direct fire and a one size fits one charge shot but does more to vehicles. But as you said, can't reload while braced (-1 even, +1 worse)
    7. Painboy worse than apoth, which are both worse than warlock or sorc. So agreed there
    8. +7 health literally has almost 0 difference in TTK at best causing enemies to shoot 1 extra bullet. I'd personally have a 25 health while also not increasing TTK, regenerates on its own. so +25 health several times in a fight is better than 32 health just once. If a marine gets his armor back even once during a fight, the armor has been more effective.
    9. Painboy grenades are 4 times larger than apoth ones making them incredibly easy to kill with incidental damage, apoth ones must be consciously targeted and killed because they're tiny and the same color as the enviroment usually. Ours are huge green lanterns you'd have to be blind to miss. (+1 worst)
    10. Toughness is irrelevant in this age of power weapon melee spam. the rusty gob might as well just be 15 health for 150LP. at which point the +32 health is a better and cheaper choice. ( +1 worse )
    11. Ork vehicles have the worst controls that all the other races using car controls instead of tank or hover controls. Also they are the easiest to flip over. (+1 worst)
    12. Ork trukks are the biggest and easiest to hit vehicle in the game, with the largest rear armor surface area making them the easiest to kill vehicle in the game. This size also limits the field of fire for the gun against close targets making them even worse than rhinos in that regard as well. (+1 worst)
    13. grenade bundles cost triple a single grenade in LP, that's not free and severely limits gear choices for that luxury. Also eldar get melta bomb bundles. I'd call that even, not better. (-1 better, +1 even)
    14. Easiest to hit characters in the game increases FF and increases enemy accuracy (+1 worst)
    15. Loots most obvious with the biggest profiles and guns especially when braceshooting making them the easiest heavy to spot and kill (+1 worst)
    16. Easiest to headshot but headshot reduction i.e. instead of 150% headshot its like 130%(number unconfirmed) or something. Still not an advantage, just compensation since we get headshot more (+1 worse)
    17. Power klaw literally twice as slow as power fist, but eldar don't get one (+1 worse)

    So assuming my math is right, after all my points I'm up to

    7 even 1 better 13 worse/worst

    And some of my points could have counted double but I didn't
