"nice......" "need any help? because that only guards one way.... a couple more traps oughta do it dont you think? ill help you if you need me to"
"Never told him to move, his fault if he doesn't wait for you. I keep your butts save and keep that thing in check and that is what I get thanks? Thank you very much as well." Graham snapped, walking up to Sergei to give him cover.
"Ah yes, the approach from the ruins, I guess that would be important seeing the recent events with Hendrik's foot." Taking a last piece of vine, he weighted it down on both sides of the stairway to the ruins. He hoped the rocks he put on the ends would be enough to stop it from moving, at least it would make some noise if it did fall off.
"so... uhhh, we got the way to the beach and the ruins, so what about that little area?" *pointing in the general direction of the burned bush where the....thing.... was hiding* "do we need more vines?"
"I would prefer a vat of sulfuric acid, I'm better at that sort of thing." But even as he joked he started to get ancy, the growing darkness reminding him of The Night. Stay in control of yourself! You fled off planet for throne's sake, they can't follow you here. He shivered and took a swig from his canteen.
*noticed the man starting to act a little nervous* "its alright mate... same things in the day are there at night.... just harder to see" "there's still a few vines left.... dont worry ill go with you when you set it up, you need a knife?" *trying to calm the man down some* *pulling back his cloak to show the makeshift metal fragment knife* "its not like i really need 2 of them anyway"
Henrik scrapped the ration packages clean and threw the empty packages behind him. With a satisfied look on his face he fell down on his back and barfed. "So.. What now? We going to stay here and wait for the owner's of this place to come or something else?"
"Well we cannot get far anyway and the creatures did not attack us here yet... I vote for staying here - but only tonight." Graham said and grabbed a food ration of his own backpack - as they have not hunted yet anything or something they could alternatively eat.
"I agree with that, we'll keep the fire burning and try to get some sleep into our heads," He turned to face the others and actually yawned "I don't know about you but I'm getting fairly tired over here." He leveled himself against the ground and gave a deep sigh, "You know, fellows.. Back home I would have been carrying steel bars from one person to another at this hour." He chuckled and then became serious again, "We had machines to carry them... But our foreman was an arsehole and refused to let us use them because of fuel costs. His logic failed to impress me."
Graham did not say a word, fighting his sleepiness, until a few minutes later. "I do the first watch."
