I don't know if this been discussed . though how much gore you want in the ec. I know there are executions. Though how gruesome do we want those executions. Do we want it like mortal kombat / gears of war executions. Where you can rip the players skull and spine all at once , doing crazy sick things with your weapons. Bolt rounds blowing heads off. Blood splatter on the screen, depending on the intensity of the kill. Blood fountains etc. Or make the gore feel less intense but still there is gore, but with no limbs , heads being decap. Though if you get head shot or body shot. Just squirts a little blood out. Though it won't feel really 40k , since we all know 40k is really grim and greasy. Like from some videos we seen of ec . for example the bolt round execution by standing on top and shooting that chaos marine in the head. His head should of been blown clean off. Though its only alpha. should ec be intense gore or just normal gore . even though its most likely be normal gore cause graphics or game speed might not handle it.
I felt like Space Marine had a great level of it, cutting an Ork to bits with a chainsword had a spray that wasn't too much.
Well i like gore as any WH fan, and would like to see a plethora of ridiculously over the top deaths, but i dont think they will go too far on this. True gore and gibs tend to be their own models which interact with the world, and that might strain the servers. Like when you blow up someone in Quake, or playing basketball with someones head in Postal, those are all individual models if im not mistaken. And with the populations we are going for that might amount to a tons of basketball heads. But this Pikko tech is promising, and perhaps it wont be an issue as much, plus we are still to see what engine we are getting, lot of it rides on that too. In conclusion, yeah id like to see messy gore (imagine the death animation of a Meltagun, reducing a marine to slag) but only if it doesent hurt the game itself.
Blood. Blood galore. Blood everywhere, yes. Guts and stuff? Not really, because I know that may just be me but I find people exploding in showers of blood carthaic, while every time I see people getting disemboweled or the like, I just think 'yeah, human pinata' and shrug it off.
Yea . but blood angels and space wolves, and summoning daemons. Also orkz like to get really messy tho. I remember reading . the chaos legion emperors children where having a lovely show with loyalists. Then they had a huge orgy of blood as a musical theater blood show. Where the leader made artwork out of the bodies on the stage . fulgrim was a sicko. Though a artistic sicko like the boss guy in BioShock 1 Cohen sanders. I think that was his name.
As long as I don't spit out mist of blood whenever I yawn, I'm okay. Except when playing as a Chaos Marine, wouldn't be surprised if that'd be normal among them.
Blood and gore doesn't bother me. If its part of the game and not just there for. ...gross factor? I guess honestly for the wider audience they should shoot for that teen rating for a larger audience. But if they hit M rating..i say go all out. flayed skin, bloody bodies, skull thrones, disturbing sexy daemonettes...the works. .
