I don't care that much aboutpve, I might try the different modes but I would play PVP 99% of my playtime.
when 'nids where planned for surface appearance I thought "awesome...PvE can have a share of my time no problem", when 'nids where relegated to instances I'd have to group up to enjoy I thought "meh" and promptly lost interest in them, being a "lone wolf" stereotype means the more organised the "team" aspect is required in any game the less I enjoy it........but thats my opinion lol
I have definitely missed when they said that, you don't happen to have the source? as when tyranids only in instances?
Well my vote isn't entirely accurate, I wouldn't say I like them equally, but they are both important additions. Even if the breakup is 75% to 25% in favor of PvP for how I intend to spend my time, the PvE part is significant for a change of pace. It's less important to me, but it's still important.
I love PvP but am also VERY much looking forward to the PvE elements they have been described so far ( inspired by LFD and maybe a Wave attack scenario).
And lets not forget when you and your friends are getting sloshed (hey its 12 noon somewhere!), it is probably better to go wipe against the nids rather than feeding the enemy. I miss drunken karazhan.
I prefer PvE over PvP generally. This game being okay with it for the sole purpose that it's WH40K related. I would love to see an extensive PvE system. Think about old MMO's they're usually PvE-centric with some "PvP thrown in". That's how WoW started. Even if PvP is a big part of WoW now. that wasn't always the case. I see a great opportunity for EC to be the first opposite game: Mainly PvP Centric with a PvE system thrown in that can grow and get bigger and more complex. As long as a strong groundwork is there.
Heh. I love that it took less than 20 minutes from Ivan deciding to ask the fan base their views on an age-old debate of types of game content for someone to go "Wait, what? One of the devs is asking our opinion about a game feature? They must be planning to cut something! EVERYONE, HIT THE PANIC BUTTON!" Ivan, if you're feeling particularly evil, might I suggest the next poll you do is "So, guys. I'm just curious, but how would you all feel if we dropped the Space Marine faction from launch and added the Tau instead?" And then, having lit the blue touchpaper, log off for the weekend with a big smile on your face while the internet explodes behind you.
