This may be news for you but orks shooting (in TT, fluff or other games) is somewhere between terrible to bad. So i don't see reason why in this game is shota in ork hands superior to bolter.
Firstly lets clear some misinformation up. You say that I havn't had "a look at the current state of the game", I have played plenty of tactical marine and have performed just fine. Secondly, the tactical marine is NOT "trash in melee and shooting". The tactical marine is sub par in melee, and very viable at ranged. When equipped with a Bolter they are the best tactical equivalent in the game at medium range, when equipped with a Stormbolter they are very strong in close quarters, yet vulnerable to being melee'd. You state that you only want a "slight buff" which would bring tacticals to having a "slight edge" over everyone else at ranged combat. If the tacticals were "trash" as you claim, a slight buff would not elevate them to having a slight edge, a significant buff would be required for this. However, the tactical marine simply is not "trash" and giving this buff you propose would not give them a "slight edge", as they are already receiving two armour buffs, one from their new wargear and one from the general marine armour buff. This would make them untouchable in ranged combat, and just as miserable in melee as they are currently. This is not the solution.
I'm not discussing lore, i'm not discussing tabletop. I am talking entirely about what is in game currently. As it stands the Orks have the best tactical equivalents due to good accuracy, damage output and high survivability. If you want the game balance based on tabletop, it would be a shit show. If you want it balanced based on lore, it would be even worse.
But you don't know the state of the game. Play with any of the top clans and see how many of them bring bolter tacticals when they're playing seriously. The tactical marine is trash in melee and shooting. Literally any other class will outperform him by a milestone. Honestly, you're not fooling anyone. You main Xeno, and you have a special interest in making sure that bolters remain where they are. 90% of your EC videos on youtube are Eldar. Coincidence? I don't think so. And why is it that it's always the Eldar players who "Oh I play lots of tactical, sure!" that are always claiming to know the bolter better than me, a bolter main? Why is your channel just eldar then? If you really played lots of tactical, I think your youtube channel would have a few more LSM vids. So why tactical is the worst of them (where is balance)? Also is asymmetrical balance still a thing? As for game balance i want to every race to have their theme incorporated in (like Orks good at smashing, bad at shooting ect..).
So lets get this straight, I don't know "the state of the game"? I play plenty of Loyalist, plenty of tactical and perform perfectly well, yet my opinion doesn't matter because I have videos of Eldar on my youtube channel? Right. With the logical falacy that my opinion is irrelevant because I don't exclusively play one faction and one class out of the way, you've simply repeated yourself, ignored any arguments that contradict yours and refuse to address anything that isn't the same as your opinion. Responding with accusations of some conspiracy and attempting to discredit those that disagree with you is not any way to hold a reasonable argument, and if you honestly think saying "tactical marine is trash in melee and shooting" over and over and over is going to influence anyone other than the ill informed then I have very little to say to you. I've said my piece, I can easily provide evidence of marines being fine at ranged combat and will continue to do so. If anyone wants a good discussion on how to approach improving the experience of playing a tactical marine then I'll happily chat with you, but when people start throwing out nonsense arguments and act like children trying to argue around the topic, as seems to be occuring here, I'm out.
Why don't you try proving those claims instead of throwing your arms up and saying "I'm out!" the first moment someone doesn't buy your story? You're the 45th Eldar/Ork/Chaos who has made those claims to me this week. Not one of them has tried to prove it. And I'm not surprised. It turns out that our best LSM players are actually xenos/chaos apparently. Because all the xenos/chaos players claim to be top-tier Korean pros at LSM.
