The spores released by the ork upon death take 9 months to evolve into organisms that become the base of a ork ecosystem.. It can take anywhere from 1 year to 100 years for the ecosystem to get large enough to sustain a ork all depends on the amount of fighting going on in the area. Orks are usually born into the ecosystems and use all the other organisms ie squigs as food/clothing and weapons. They then venture out to make war.... and die so that the cycle can begin anew.
That's inconsistent with the Ork codex that claims that Ork groups multiply from raiding parties to whole hordes in weeks.
If there's a lot of fighting in the area with other orks and stuff it can happen in weeks. As far as if a few orks die and they leave the planet it can take years. The power of the WAAAGH!! is what speeds up the reproduction. If that power is gone with the main horde then it's slow going.
if there is war they grow faster, if a planet goes quiet there spores will wait till war is brought once more to the planet so they can grow
Not always true, Arkunasha were Farsight engaged and learned how to defeat orks, the planet was nearly 100% rust oxide that rusted everything, the orks there were great in number & evolved thick hides and were vary nasty as they had limited metal to work with they learned to fight brutally with there hands feet heads and teef, its also why Farsights armor is rust red
Hes not wrong tho, Yes it had a rust on it, but the ork ecosystem is highly advance and will adapt to survive, the Orks couldn't live there if there food, gretiching, squigs, etc.. didnt grow with them. The fighting allowed them to grow so fast and as deadly as they needed to be to sruvive, both the Orks themselves and whatever it takes for an ork to survive will adapt and force the ork ecosystem to adapt it as well
What we're saying here is Green Iz bezt, the orks are the ultimate warrior race, capable of always adapting to better survive and keep fighting, and all other races in the galaxy will eventually fall to Greenskin might.
