  1. Earned weapons are superior to cash weapons.
  2. Dude, don't point that out. People won't believe you. It totally under(salt)mines the P2W argument.

I lol'd so hard when I heard that all RTC weapons bought during/before EA were refunded. I lol'd even harder when people couldn't understand why.

  3. It's not the peak that's the problem. It's the average concurrent players that is the real problem. It's been averaging about 220 (monthly averages combined) over the course of 2016. This boost for the launch is realistically probably going to go right back down. Also, let's be honest there are a lot of people just logging in to look at things and click on them.

It's not even that it was ambitious... TBH, it's not really that ambitious... maybe for a 40K game... but nothing was really so out there it could not be done.
What changed was that brought in new people, who had no intention of sticking to the original plan, or the initial game we bought into. I mean since the time Nathan joined the game gets completely stripped and the majority of the original team leaves... I may be on the Nathan hate train a bit, but the way I see it it all went south when he came on, the mentality changed from 'lets make a great game' to 'we have a deadline dump what we can'...
At one point the PvE was going to be dynamic modular tunnels that would change randomly to make it seem new, kind of what Warframe does with all of it's levels... where the hell did that go?
The only ambitious part was a 2015-2016 release, and Sooooo many companies just postpone release to make it happen, there is no reason it could have not happen here...
IMO what happened was a businessman got put in charge to sell a product, and he was going to sell that product in whatever state he could because that's his job. He took over from a guy who had a vision, but BE apparently didn't like the visionary, they accepted his ideas then dumped him and his position and replaced him with a position of staffing, legal and logistic affairs of the product then the product got changed from a god one, to what we have now to save time and make money in the short term. MMOs are suppose to focus on longevity of the game, not the quick sell profit, but the 'Senior Producer' position seems like a quick sell placement.
  5. I'd say +123.19% gain is a good start. I say slow lunch at this point is good strat. I'd say stop listening to "no netcode" (everyone is a software engineer apparently) and "no mmo" whine and downvote every review that you come across that state obvously bullshity points (which probably get fixed in a couple of weeks, cause they were in alfa).

Because good game development studios would prefer the freedom of creating their own IP over the restrictiveness of using an existing IP (and the costs related to it).*
Bad game development studios need the PR and fans the existing IP has in order to create sales.

I mean; Behaviour's most well-known game before this was Doritos Crash Course.

*Relic Entertainment excluded, they're the only studio with good 40k games in recent times; but they're more well-known for CoH and Homeworld generally.
  7. NurgleBurger NurgleBurger Steam Early Access

Early access games should not be reviewable imo. Way too many idiots who do not understand what EA means destroying games.

How can a review destroy a game, can you pls explain that in detail to me? If a game is good it will always defend itself, simple as that.
  9. You make a fair point about the fact that if the game is good it should be able to defend itself, without fanboys having to make apologetic crusades all over the internet, for its sake.

Yet on the other hand lots of negative review that downgrade its final review outcome are complete bullsh%^&, for example reviews stating that there are only 2 types of vehicles (there are 3 lat time i played) or that there is no orcs in game (review from January), and so on. Those lower the overall review score and make people avoid the game since its view is diminished.

The point of Early Access is buying a game early if you like the game in its current state of development. Reviews are a useful tool to determine whether or not you like the game in its current state.
