This somewhat depends on the options of the founders package, but if we are allowed to submit our character's to be sculpted into a plastic model and put into a TT army, I would personally love to see GW initiate a global campaign the likes that has not been seen since the Fall of Medusa V or the Eye of Terror. Only now, the story influences and slowly reveals more and more of why each faction is fighting for Arkohna. There would likely be ARG's within the campaign players who do not have time to paint or play TT can solve. I'd imagine that rules would be something like this: You may use the supplements RPG: Deathwatch (I'm not sure what the others might be). Achievements gained in this mode differ from the following: You must run your Founder's Model as your Warlord. The minimum army size is 500 Points and may be run with the rules of Combat Patrol. You gain bonuses for playing larger battles. You gain much more points for fighting in Apocalypse battles. You gain larger bonuses for recruiting another player to create a custom model and join the war. (They enter in your profile when they create their model - limit 1 Warlord per profile - you may purchase as many custom models as you wish) You must supply at least one picture of your model engaged in battle in order to receive credit for the battle. Failure to do so will result in no points being awarded (cool story bro). Suggestions? Thoughts?
I can't see GW making our characters as models. It's a bit wishful to think they would. The time it'd take to sculpt them would be too high, and that's before production and the associated costs are factored in. But a campaign would be cool.
Well, I'm not going to rule out the sculpting of models completely, because Migeul has flirted with the idea. To be perfectly honest, translating a character from character creation to a 3D printer doesn't seem altogether difficult for professional programmers already working on translating those custom characters to move with fluidity in the game. I know its basically apples to oranges, but it's not like it isn't possible.
I know he has. It isn't up to him, though. A 3D printer could work, aye, but that isn't how GW work. And, since it's their IP, they're very, very unlikely to allow the devs to go to another company to manufacture them. Don't get me wrong, it'd be epic.
Well, more importantly, this is a great marketing device for both companies, so I hope that they agree to work together rather than compete. Maybe GW will learn something in listening to their fans.
Haha..GW listening to fans, that's...yea. The campaign would be cool, as long as they don't decide to randomly retcon it like the Black Crusade.
via an anonymous source from the Faeit 212 inbox wrote: As we know Imperial Guards and Orks will be released in the first part of 2014. as well as an update of Armageddon campaign, Black Templars Supplement will come in the same time. Because Templars have a lot of fluff around Armageddon. GW is going to make (or remake) a Campaign for Armageddon with updated fluffs and missions scenarios. As they are changing the helmet model of the Steel Legions, they will have to make new artwork for that. And it's logical that it should be released between Imperial Guards and Orks. (as there is no other 40k codex between them)
I can't see GW handing out a printing license to BE. It's pretty much only ever going to be exclusive to GW and Forge World. The global campaign could be cool and would benefit both companies generating interest in the MMO and vice versa.
Don't understand that much about whats going on, but... I'd like the devs to start on a Horus Heresy expansion, a planet sized open world with SM vs CSM, the fight for tera, old armors, ripping parts of dead allies to piece your gear back together. Blood and gore everywhere.
Sounds very inconsiderate to everyone who don't want to side with the ultra smurfs and their bruthas or be all buoold fa DA buoold gawd. But yea no Horus heresy expansion it just doesn't work with the lore. I would like other planets though and maybe a location if where ARKHONA is in the 40k-verse maybe some where near tau space but also close to the eye of terror which can explain every faction being there. But back on topic it would be great to see my character as a model in TT as a warlord "warboss Bossaroo" it's glorious
