Gamemaster Design Plan This threads solemn purpose is to provide an easy, quick and compressed feedback for the developers, that is managed by compiling and gathering feedback from the community. Similar to the gamemodes/maps thread, this one is aimed towards collecting feedback from fellow Crusaders about our design ideas for the game. We also take NEW suggestions and welcome any constructive criticism and questions that we will try to answer. Give us the chance to improve upon our plans by telling us your ideas and your opinions on what has been done so far so that Eternal Crusade becomes a better experience for all of us! BEWARE: This list of features is NOT official, it is simply a list of ideas watched by the devs that may make it into the game if they get enough positive feedback. It is the very reason this thread exists, to make sure everyone is okay with our collective plans so the devs have an easier time of collecting community feedback. This will increase the chances of that feedback taking effect. As of now, this list is far from complete and is lacking a lot of things that players have proposed over the last few months. Therefore this post will keep changing as feedback grows and plans evolve so keep updated with the following roadmap! *CLARIFICATION AND CONTEXT FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS* *START* This project is a means of helping developers collect feedback without them themselves having to continously check individual threads on the issues that the community has. Because that is, in most cases, very time consuming as they have to dig through pages of feedback, parts of which might be fully complete feedback and other parts causing huge disagreements on how to solve these issues which brings the developers into confusion. This system is aiming towards fixing that, It works simply by collecting information from various threads on forums and discussions on our Discord server on how to solve what bugs the community. That means - talking about those issues with a lot of people (Mostly from places easily accessable by the majority, for example Discord and Steam where you can brainstorm), setting up solutions (With the help of already proposed solutions on forum threads) and ultimately placing those suppoused solutions on the thread to be reviewed by everyone else and further reviewed to see if it needs any altering. A common question is: „Isn't that basically the same as posting a thread in the general forum about a specific issue and having devs look at it?“ Well, as you might know, there HAS been a lot of threads that present issues with the game in a very constructive manner and do have tons of pages of good feedback, a lot of which devs would read. But the issue comes because of the fact that they're long, so they need to be shortened so devs don't waste TOO MUCH development time reading them, AND because none of these threads are visited regularly by the majority of the community members (Forums, both steam and EC, are visited by only 2-3% of the community according to Nathan) so a lot of the solutions proposed by those people very likely will cause conflict between the other 97% of the community which doesn't visit the forums very often. That is where we come in. Lastly, to further clarify, we use discord, we use private messages AND we use the forums to gradually collect information in a way devs would, but since we have free time we can do it without sacrificing any development effectiveness. That means that whenever we see any issues that are talked about a lot on the forums, we talk to a lot of community members about it both on Discord, PM and in forums as previously mentioned, and see how we can solve it, as a community, by brainstorming and altering it if needed. *CLARIFICATION AND CONTEXT FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THIS* *END* Discord Server: https://discord.gg/ux3EVrz FEATURES/CHANGES COLOR CODED GREEN HAVE RECEIVED POSITIVE FEEDBACK BY THE COMMUNITY, THEREFORE IT IS A GREEN LIGHT TO DEVELOPERS TO IMPLEMENT THEM IN THE ORIGINAL FORM. FEATURES/CHANGES COLOR CODED YELLOW ARE CONSIDERED TO BE FINISHED BUT LACKING COMMUNITY FEEDBACK. FEATURES/CHANGES COLOR CODED RED ARE CONSIDERED UNFINISHED AND NEED COMMUNITY FEEDBACK TO BE COMPLETED AND ACCEPTED. FEATURES/CHANGES THAT ARE MISSING FROM THIS THREAD YET HAVE RECENTLY BEEN PRESENT HAVE BEEN REMOVED DUE TO MOSTLY NEGATIVE COMMUNITY FEEDBACK. Lastly, as of yet this thread definetly won't have every single solution to every single issue that has been stated by the community. But we are slowly advancing as the system has only just started so please bare with us! (LSM/CSM/ORKS) - Jump Packs Remove the jump pack "windup" when starting a ground slam because it serves little to no purpose and feels clunky. (ELDAR) Reaper Launcher changed to be primarily anti infantry unless specialized in anti vehicle by using mods, additional anti infantry specialization mods would be available at a large expense of anti vehicle and vice versa. Starshot has it's splash damage nullified (Optionally - uses different ammo poll than starswarm, having 20 ammo while starswarm has the same ammo as before) Starswarm should work similar to autocannon (Hitscan, windup instead of chargeup). The previously mentioned mods - Anti Vehicle Specialization - 1000 more damage to starshot, reduced fire rate and faster overheat for the starswarm. Anti Infantry Specialization - faster fire rate for starswarm and lower ammo count for starshot (About 5-10) (ELDAR) Banshee's sprint fast attack should make the banshee leap 10 meters in the direction of the attack and make the scream give you double effective health up front for 5 seconds after the scream. (ELDAR) Swooping hawks shouldn't get spotted automatically when they start flying, rather only by manual spotting. (CSM) Instead of having a Necrotic Chainsword or a Manslayer (Khorne themed chainaxe) there should be universal God Mark weapons that grant specific bonuses depending on what god mark you have equipped. For Khorne you gain additional lifelleech, for Nurgle poison, Tzeentch a fire debuff and Slaneesh a debuff on the enemy that icnreases damage taken. It could be either a special weapon that allows the bonus attributed to your god or a special "Mark-Mod" that you have to equip with a weapon to gain a Gods favour for you weapon.
