Being told that she would be commanding the infiltration team to take the forge world, Therax couldn't help but feel flattered that Tyranus had that much faith in her abilities.... Then again, it also left her in the position of being blamed for anything that goes wrong. And besides, only the Mandrakes were truly masters of shadows among her kind, but alas she felt it would be counterproductive to make a mention of that fact lest it jeopardised her position as team leader. Still, she couldn't help but suppress a smile at seeing the former overlord of the Rift, Matthius von Webber, meeting his demise from the blade that her employer used as in her opinion, it was his well deserved fate for being nothing more than a mere jailor who penned people into a flavour of hell then left them to their own devices. Alas, there was the task at hand which needed to be done and so the Wych said to her employer "Very well my lord, I shall get you your Forge world." She then turned to Allerius(@Keidivh ) and replied "Well then, I think you should be prepared to be surprised about what the Eladrith Ynneas can do." While she would prefer getting on with preparing for the task at hand, there was the small matter of assessing who had been put under her command, as well as the nature of the task. Firstly, there was Marine that had been surprised about her being put in charge above him. Marla got the distinct impression that he might pose a risk to it running smoothly if he got the idea of acting like a lone wolf, or challenged her leadership of this operation..... Sadly, the names Allerius, Morek, Rouland and Galedan meant nothing to her, as she didn't have armour or a face to put them to, which meant she'd likely have to learn them quickly. Secondly, if the mon-keigh in the red robes were anything like the whispers Therax had heard from slaves in the Dark City and some of her fellows in Voluptatem were anything to go by, they would have some impressive war machines and weaponry at their disposal. Which meant that staying under the radar was a high priority if they didn't want to end up dead, or if those types of mon-keigh were interested in vivisections of what the humans called Xenos, worse. Then again, some people she knew on the Rift would have actually enjoyed being on the receiving end of the experience... Banishing that phantom of the past, the Wych decided to wait and see if anyone else who was on her team was going to make themselves clear and perhaps make any useful suggestions as to what her team could do to subvert an entire world from mon-keigh rule to swearing allegiance to Tyranus. However, she would reserve a veto on any suggestions that involved taking unnecessary risks (unless there was a reasonable reward for acting in a risky manner) or any ideas that would entail inflicting unacceptable levels of damage to the world's infrastructure (They were going to actually need the world to make arms after they had taken over!)
@matt23 Silently, Zamaryel watched the execution of Webber, a man without meaning to her, and sighed with disappointment when she could not feel much agony in his demise. Efficiency was simply a waste of proper sadism. When her name did not fall, she cocked her head and stepped closer to Tyranus, slowly approaching him like one would approach a deer in the wild - with deliberation, and a measure of uncertain reluctance, lest it flee. Or in this case, cleave her in half. "Am I to assume I will stay here? Or will I join the others on planetside?"
Hegon felt like a clumsy beast that’d fallen into the hunters trap. The Sorcerers words broke the back of his anger. He’d either have to challenge Lord Tyranus, who had already proved his power by the sublime execution of Mathius von Webber, or would have to put himself forward as a replacement for the Sorcerer, a prospect he wouldn't enjoy. The seconds ticked by, Hegon hadn't said a word and he knew he was beginning to look foolish. ‘No-one has put any tactical plan forwards yet, Sorcerer.’ Hegon said in a deep growl, reminiscent of a caged beast. ‘So I can’t doubt his tactical choices. I only doubt his choice of leaders.’ Hegon looked over to Tyranus, who had stood their silently for the exchange. Tyranus was an intimidating sight with his sword by his waist. He had proved he could back up his reputation. Hegon sighed heavily, knowing he’d have to relent, and sat down again. ‘But I will trust to his wisdom for this matter…’
"Ah, of course. Please forgive my slip up, Zamaryel. You shall join the team taking Invictus. Fear is a powerful weapon, as is pain. Both of which you have much talent in, I would have you unleash your art upon the ranks of the guard stationed their. It will be interesting to see your work first hand," Tyranus said as he looked across the table at her. @Vulpas @Grall_Stonefist @KorCharon @Azathoth @Maleth @GoreWrencha @High_Adept_Zeth @Keidivh @Colapse @XV-878 @TuskatheDaemonKilla @Casavay @Nurianis Tyranus looked across to towards Hegon and Allerius, "My word has been spoken on the matter of who shall lead each mission. Should you believe the one I have chosen to not be an effective leader, the outcome will reflect it. So, do your part, prove yourself, and worry not about who leads you, but that the mission is completed." Tyranus then looked to the others at the table, "Now, on Invictus, Azulon and his team will be teleported right into the main Fortress on the World. The means you shall use to teleport into their heart sits right on my hip." Tyranus placed a hand on the handle of the Sword. "I fear as this Sword still is fairly new to myself and I do not wish to lose our army into the Warp, I will send you all in first. Then using Azulon as a beacon within the currents of the Warp, the army shall follow. Fortress Worlds are renowned for their defenses against attacks, but not from within. The fools will not know what hit them, and the defenses will remain intact that we may use them with minimal repairs. Once in, we will break their will to fight by killing the Lord Commander who governs the World. Questions?" Tyranus then looked to the others, "Oculus Prime, will be taken in a similar fashion. As mentioned earlier, most Forge Worlds are linked in a network which gives us the perfect means to take over. The infiltration team, under Therax, will be teleported in to the main Forge. Once in, you will make your way to the central networking station, by any means necessary, and upload a present using this." Tyranus slid a small piece of electronics towards Therax, "It will upload a virus that will allow us to control the entire network from my ship. That includes the vast ranks of servitors. It will also preserve any and all memories, that we my study them. Simple enough?"
Rouland had been silent the entire briefing taking in all the information that was given to them, the team he was apart of would be tasked with infiltrating and taking a forge world. Just the thought of it put a shiver of excitement in his soul a part of him held back as a smile came on his lips. He would need viruses and likely a melta gun if they ran into the heavy forces of the mechincus. As Tyranus spoke up again he took in the the new answer to taking the forge world. A virus that allowed such a action must have been one of the most advance if not come from a mole within the forge world itself. Now all they would need to do then is get to the central networking station which would be likely guarded almost as much as likely the Magos that ruled the forge world. They would likely need to set off some false alarms to help aid take forces off of there target when they begin uploading the virus Tyranus handed Therax. "It maybe good when we are on the ground set off some false alarms within the Forge world systems to try and lessen the guard around the central networking station." Rouland suggested as he looked towards his team and Tyranus.
"And that you shall have. As I mentioned earlier, there will be a second team infiltrating as well who's primary task is to ensure that the eyes of the Forge are focused else where. They shall be doing minor damages to some of the out defenses to try the forces out from the heart of the Forge."
Allerius simply nodded, not interested in arguing with this lord any longer. He got to go on an infiltration mission. That was all that mattered. "Is there any presence of Hereteks on this Forge World. No matter how few, they could prove useful." Allerius found that one of the most useful weapons in any war were insurgents from within. If they could muster even a small force of Hereteks, it could make this job quite easy. There was also the idea of capturing the magos of the Forge, but that would just lead to more difficulties, even if it would be fun.
A World Eater that not only manages to curb his temper...but also provide an argument...even if it was a mere word-play. The galaxy is full of wonders indeed. As long as he wields his chain-axe in the right direction,Azulon could care less about the state of his ravaged mind. Gaining one more into his team,Thousand Son shut Hegon and his growls from his mind as he focused at the task at hand. Not only is he to be used as a telepath, but also as a lab rat in Tyranus`s dabble with sorcery.Switching his gaze between the Lord and his wicked blade, suspicion grew in his mind, for the Alpha Legionnaire did not look like a psyker and indeed...his signature was that of shunt mortals.Blunt to the powers of the Great Ocean. Azulon decided not to gamble and potentionaly lose his life on a fool that made one too many pacts with the Warp, not knowing the price. In the end he will end up like the wretch from the Rift.Such is the fate of all that play with something they do not understand. "Questions?" spoke Lord Tyranus. "When do we start with the attack?"asked Azulon, eyeing the piece of electronic that Tyranus gave to the other group.
Kargback had dozed off again but woke up when the word attack was spoken. His head bolted upward and his mechanical hand slammed against the table. "Ye when we gonna get ta doin dis?" He had no idea why everyone was just siting here or why there was blood on the floor over there. Did he miss a fight? He would probably never know but at least it seemed like they were going to go do something other than talk.
"We been usin teliporta?" Wazzog scratched his head at the idea the Boss proposed to them, like any sensible Ork he wasn't thrilled to be transported from one place to another in a blink of an eye by some arcane technology, however he growled, not wanting to show his fear in front of the others. "Oi ye, Wazzog's ready Boss. Bring dem umies to us! Or bring us to dem umies...whateva works."
