Not sure many from the wow community feel that way you describe. Ofc you have the right to think otherwise. Also Swtor is know for giving away free cartel coins and thats a game based on 80% microtransactions to stay alive as their f2p model gives you levling experience up to 50, but you either have to subscribe or use real money to open up for high end gear and types of usefull ingame options.
Well then sorry you have no principals mate. I for one do not like being bent over by companies but by all means carry on if that is your choice. It is amazing how quickly the internet seems to forgive and forget sometimes and then gets so surprised the next time they are taken for fools..
I myself am more amazed at how much bitter malice there is on the internet, and how much hate is directed at people who somehow dare not to share in that bitter malice... That just can't be healthy. Despite being connected to the European Server i am back to 130-150 ping... So far this F2P launch thing is terrible... 90% of the Eurpean server doesn't speak english anymore.. no way to communicate..... lots of new players.. lots of team killing... the ping is back into the almost unplayable regions. And all that just when i was starting to enjoy the game again...
Seriously... not only is the ping trash now.. but now the game starts to put me into already the 2nd match today.. with a Siege map.. with 2 people, including myself, against 10 attackers... and the game starts... Seriously... just as i started to enjoy the game again.. this... oh well... might check back in half a year.. if the game is still alive then. I am fed up and done with this. Having absolutely no coordination anymore... people doing whatever, because they don't understand the gamemodes.. trying to tell them does nothing, because they don't even seem to speak english (based on all the cyrllic symbols i am seeing in chat).... so what is the point? Could we maybe get a separation based on language regions? I don't need (or want) VOIP for pugs, and nothing against our russian friends, not like they have a choice.. like a server that is closer to them..... but i would love to know what my teammates are saying in chat... i already learned english to communicate in online games, i am not going to start to learn russian or whatever just so i can keep playing them... or for them to understand me when i am trying to explain the gamemode, because this game doesn't properly explain anything... Then we have 6+ squads running around.. depleting Transports like crazy for 2-3 people in a squad.. the Ping is through the roof again... and and it puts me in freaking unbalanced matches... even when (calmly and friendly) explained why merging squads is important or what you need to go for A to get more time is needed... nobody does anything... And forget about playing Eldar, because you maybe have 2 competent teammembers.. and 13 people being cannon fodder.
the only thing i can say about this is in all hope at the end of it maybe a week or two we MIGHT have a few extra competent players and the ping might settle down ... if not then .. but tbh i was never expecting much better, when a game goes F2P everyone and their dog can try it, granted i had thought that was already the case with it been so cheap over the past few months but alas it seems some people are even cheaper than me lol. But hey ho give it a week or two hopefully it will sort itself out playerwise .. no clue about ping unless numbers drop and the stability improves - shocker
