That....may require testing. The Plasma Gun with a charged shot can't one-shot enemies, at least not unless they are completely naked at the very least. I mean, I've directly hit Dire Avengers in the back and it doesn't one-shot them. Also the Plasma Gun has very little AOE, or again, at the very least very little AOE damage and a very small "area to stun". On the other hand, I've seen, and done, one shots with the Ork's Heavy Rokkit launcher thing, though it is a bit more unwieldy as you've said, but the AOE is a bit more forgiving. I'm not calling you a liar or anything, but some things aren't matching up that I feel need some testing so we can set things straight. Don't want to make too many assumptions without playing/testing around. Unfortunately I can't get into game for a day or two here, you know how life is. We'll see I guess. To be fair, I've never one-shotted an enemy with the Plasma Gun, but it does stun them, so when I do hit them it's pretty easy to follow up with a few snap/single shots to finish them off. The Plasma Cannon of course, that thing is just ridiculous, but I think we all kind of agree on that by now.
I Play range and I rek melee... melee is never gonna kill you at range its just not gonna happen if you play range and fail to stay at range why are you blaming the melee guy. You ignoring your fundamental job to deal consistent damage at a safe range. This isnt call of duty its allot more tactical both for ranged and melee...
I agree that ranged feels bad to play. Personally, the biggest issue I find with playing a ranged class like the Dire Avenger is that unlike in most shooter games, when you press and hold the mouse button to fire in EC, you don't instantly start shooting but instead there's a very, very brief delay while your trooper gets their weapon in firing position. There's an identical delay when using psyker powers on my Warlock, and I've heard Apothecaries have the same delay when using their heal. It could easily be an input delay instead of an animation delay, not sure. With shooting though, I find that the delay throws off what I've been trained to expect from firing weapons in shooter games, and it messes up my ability to aim properly. I think that if that delay were removed, ranged in EC would at least feel better, even if it didn't make ranged any more powerful, as most EC players are likely used to weapons instantly firing when the mouse button is pushed because that's how all non-charged weapons in other shooter games work.
The mental image I just had...totally choked on my coke. Me: " >8O Alright Knife! We're gonna stab the FUCK out of them!" Knife with a squeeky voice for some reason: "Yeah! We're gonna slice and dice! >8O" *Finds enemy Ork and challenges him in glorious combat* *Ork looks at me and his tummy growls from not eating anything recently* Knife: "Oh Shit! That growl! SQUAD MORALE BROKEN!" *Knife turns into a short wet pool noodle* Me: "God dammit Knife! We talked about this!"
So... you stay out of capture points then, who favor melee? As Tactical and Avenger i kinda have to go there to... capture points (Chaos and Orks can leave that to Melee) And what are you doing instead? Killing stuff running around? Who is the one playing Call of Duty now?
To be fair, all objective-based games have problems with players ignoring objectives if doing so yields more personal rewards even if it means a loss. Because people tend to care more about what they get out of it when the fact that you won or lost a match is entirely insignificant (which it is, currently).
Maby we just are not the same I kit for a bit lower health come in closer do some tactical knife attacks then stun and increase the distance then finish them off If I cant win the melee at that point. Also Think about what your saying. =================== There is a capping point. Your saying there is loads of people doing melee in there... GO IN THERE AND MELEE sure there is a chance you will die but there is a change you will get a kill before you die and create distractions for team mates possibly get a really good explosive grenade or something off. Think outside the box when you play or just dont think at all and just get out there and do stuff as fast as you can... Eventually they will add single play campaign and more PVE maps if you are completely terrible at pvp this will be for you just pretend the game done exist for awhile if that is what you need.
1. Prove it. You make the claim, you provide the evidence, not anecdotes. And no, stalker ammo doesn't count. (250% damage at 30% firerate is a net loss) 2. You mean the optimal range of 20/25m? The range that can be closed fast attack spam/lunge?
Big Shoota accuracy and recoil is terrible, and is very inaccurate compared to a Bolter. Standard shootaz? I'll take an upgraded Bolter over a standard shoota with upgrades any day. Ork firearms are only good at close to medium range, and they still will get stomped by Assault Marines just as easily.
A What is this a scam... your like that false company that went around and told everyone They owed money to the IRS and had to pay them or they would be audited... You know how much time that takes... Go achieve 60 hours and come back pleb... Your obviously not a Arkhona Vanguard... The Bolter functions very well. How about we do somthing easy link your steam profile so we can see how many hours you have on Eternal Crusade?
