Me too would be nice to acknowledge the console users, after all this game has massive potential to be HUGE across all formats. After all Nathan has talked tentatively about cross platform capability for EC I personally hope this happens.
As much as I'm looking forward to EC on the PS4 (already pre-ordered it on Amazon) I'm not that keen on cross-platform play.
I'm just think the more people the better no matter what machine they choose to use, so when will ps4 release be.
Yeah, hopefully no crossplatform will be in. And there is no way it will pass any certification right now for consoles, so I'd guess you get closer to Beta, when the game is closer to being feature complete and is optimized properly. And at this moment they need to focus on making the basic game work, not split their attention over multiple platforms.
I don't understand what's wrong with the cross platform idea can you make me understand why so many people think it's a bad idea I just can't see how it could be a bad thing.
PC games can update more freely than console games, so hotfixes and patches for EC would be implemented slower, rather than as and when necessary. There's also the KB/M vs Controller issue, PC gaming's access to bots and hacks etc. PC gamers also site games needing to be "dumbed down" for console due to more limited hardware and the inability to upgrade components. Then there's the "PC master race" BS that, I for one, would rather not have to deal with while playing on PS4.
I have already this game on PC but i'm totally going to buy it for sure too for my PS4. Which is going to be quite a graphical improvement for me considering how old my PC is. (and no, i don't plan to buy a new one anytime soon) Not so sure about the cross platform thingie though, sounds like needless complications to me. On consoles i don't think that we are going to have any problem finding players anyway so yeah, no point really.
