I have. I don't think you understand how Planetside 2 actually functions, if Nathan is correct on his explanation of it. That is how Nathan described it. Despite each continent looking like it is just one gigantic instance it is actually multiple instances that are connected together allowing seamless, I.E. no loading screen, transistion from one instance to another.
The end result in Planetside is a consistent, persistent, seemless continent. For us the customer it means you can travel to any section of the large map and never have a loading screen. Of course quick travel shows a loading screen but thats just cover for the engine to load in all the new chunks. Apparently BE does not have the tech to do this.
That whole talk about PS2 is just smokescreen ... as is the "I want the world to be like skyrim" daydreaming. Do the devs even have a clue what kind of game they are trying to make ? Dont mix single player with multiplayer or you end up with mediocre crap that pleases neither crowd. As long as the whole thing works with a matchmaker, it does not matter one bit if you have 2 bases taped together or 3. Planetside 2 will automaticly be a superior concept, I believe this was still ment to be a shooter/action game with rpg elements ? Behind all this "We just like this new Limited design more" is the sad fact that they cant deliver us the PS2 with warhammer 40k skins on top. I pre-ordered with that "Basic level" in mind, then the game changed completely and seems to still be in flux. This is warhammer 40k ... you could have banged out endless supply of content updates that bring out the next "big objective" be it a secret vault or hive fleet tendril or alien artifacts or whatever. What a waste. It seems like every bit of information just deepens the /
Also, faction leaders, campaigns, sub-factions, territorial control etc. are all things that were here long before me and we didn't change. Someone on the internet.
