I was just letting the saltyness flow but I will give you a serious answer, I don't think we need all seven classes to start testing the eldar as a faction, give us one class of each role and a transport vehicle and we are good to go... I wouldn't oppose to waht you are saying, they could add eldar classes as soon as they finish their first pass to both SM and CSM so we can start trying them.
My god, I laughed reading through these pages. I never really go into Eldar threads, but I read "eldar salt thread" and it was a must. My god, page 2 had me crying Orky tears of jolly joy. Been throwing likes like no tomorrow. You'z all still panzees Didn't actually hear about any of the delays for Eldar, suprisingely. Guess it's just me. Some post a few pages back actually mentioned something rather mention worthy. They sure are using assets from Dark Millenium as shown Here So that'd give Orks a huge headstart wouldn't it? Logically I'd think so, since years back we were shown a Ork model that was a more detailed Ork Model from Dark Millenium, adapted to Eternal Crusade. Despite that Eldar is still coming out first.. Hmm. But more on-topic, now that I hear about the delays, I guess I understand the salt. The tease, oh my. As mentioned earlier aswell, I wonder what's up with the Summer 2016 release date. Pretty sure I've seen that way too many places now for it to not be true. Because.. It can't be true, can it?
Just a single class on the Founder's Server would be enough for me, they should just let it be somewhat random which side gets the Eldar (and the huge influx of players). If they can't make it random they should chose Chaos, since they usually have the shortest waiting times.
That was me and that's the thread I mentioned. I have asked twice now in the Twitch questions threads about this, if the are using those assets still, but I've yet to get a reply from bE. I will continue to ask from time to time. As I said in my previous post I think it's a short cut for them. The models seem easily up to spec and the mo cap is done. If we assume that the SM models where created from scratch then we can see that Chaos was a short cut (Jus' wak sum spikie bitz on 'um as you Orks would say!) to get us to a playable game they can put out there as the Alpha. If the Eldar are similarly from scratch that's gonna take time, hence the "delays". I think you'd keep the Orks up your sleeve, as it were, as they should be able to add them faster than the Eldar. It means that a Summer release is entirely possible in my opinion. We all would think it would be July cos that's Summer right? Nope! This is because the definition of Summer that bE uses is end of September, which is officially the end of Summer. Last year we were told "Closed Alpha by Summer" and the doors first opened mid-September. There was some salt that it wasn't sooner but they kept their word by their own terms and we all started slaughtering each other! The thing with business, and bE are a business, is to get things done with the minimum outlay to maximise profit while still being seen to keep their promises so there's good faith and positive PR. Inherited Ork assets and a end point floating around September somewhere means it's all achievable. Again this is only my assumption. The salt comes from being told within this timeline that we'll show you something the next stream and then we get it pulled out from under us. Understandable really. I think all the players of this game want both the Orks and Eldars in, either to play as or to play against. The salt is just passion really. I'm just happy we've got such passionate people involved in the community.
A lesson in transparency. Yes! It's not a wholly bad thing... until it gets out of hand. Some people should unplug from the game a little bit. When you keep getting teased, don't get keep getting hooked. Good intentions and plans get changed and all that stuff.
