    My favorite bit:
On the class side Warlocks, Dire avengers and Dark reapers will be some of the classes you will have the pleasure to play at launch. While the Wraithguard will feel like a class, it is likely to be presented as a weapon controlled by a Warlock, requiring one of these battle-psykers to use this powerful machine of wraithbone and spirit. Warlocks empower Wraithguard on the battlefield, allowing them to operate at their devastating full capacity.

    Thoughts on this?

They managed to make the eldar attractive of an race to choose, i got to say well done on that part.

But chaos needs the playerbase to fight the evil scourge that is the ever growing 40% of the playerbase will be going to.

But if i get tired of chaos at some point eldar will be looking like an attractive second choice.

The Wraithguard sounds like it will be a powerful "pet" for the Warlock.. kind of like a TF2 Engineer's turret, but walks around?
I'm more of an FPS / third-person shooter player, so it doesn't really appeal to be personally, but I recognize this to be a very interesting concept.

My favourite Aspect Warriors are Howling Banshees and Dark Reapers, so it's good that the latter has been chosen as a class for game launch!

Woosh, I certainly hope not. If I can't play as a wraithguard I will be very, very disappointed. Every other faction gets terminators and meks. Why shouldn't we?

and yet the other classes do not have a pet class, as far as I can tell/has been announced. We don't know how powerful the wraithguard would be in comparison.

Also time and time again they told us about asymmetric balancing/classes and how the Eldar are the hardest faction to design. We'll know when there is more information there

[e]Steven said in another thread, the wraithguard will also be his own class, so my point seems a bit moot there.

Now that you mention it, the official statement about the Wraithguard is sort of vague and mysterious :D
Maybe they meant the Wraithguard is a playable class, but it specifically gets some kind of buffs from nearby Warlock class players?
That could be an arrangement that only the Eldar have, with no other class combination among the other factions that works that way.

In any genre of game, asymmetry makes factions harder to balance, but it also makes it infinitely more interesting. Hats off to the EC development team for not taking the easy way out!

Very definitively answered in a different thread (it's getting hard to keep track of them all!)

  8. those are vehicles, the terminators are rare as hell. IT IS going to be a pet, not a class. however, you will then have your warlock AND your wraith guard...i personally love this idea.

See the above post, quoting steve lumpkin. The wraithguard will not be a pet, it will be a class that is made available out of the progression tree of the warlock.
  10. sorry! missed that part, heheh
