Eldar got a couple of nerfs already... so when we should wait an actual buffs?

This is one key mistake that was made in statistical analysis. The K/D ratio of hawks is high due to the very nature of the class. Its survivability is down to its speed of movement and evasive ness. It is common for a decent hawk player to survive for a long time as long as they are careful about their perches and fly off in the right direction or take cover immediately after taking fire.

Having a high K/D ratio does not mean that the class was necessarily overperforming it was just that it had very good survivability due to evasion and to be honest I would hazard a guess that it still has a positive K/D due to the very evasisve nature it still posesses. Its key strength is being able to dictate exactly which targets to engage and when to disengage and it is that which is the reason for its high K/D ratio. Probably a higher K/D than even Dire Avengers.

The frustration of being put down so quickly has probably driven a few players away from this class. Especially as it also operates generally out of range of warlock support which could aid in revives or resistance. Those that are left know to be more discerning of the targets they engage and the situations they put themselves in. I would not be surprised if the hawks actually have the longest 'uptime' per life than any other Eldar class even in the current patch.

Was it capable of being too tanky before - probably yes. Is it too weak now? I'd say yes also but then again the TTK is smaller for many classes across all factions.

I dunno, defense oriented Striking Scorpions or the "imma stealth afk over here for team downed points" guys could give the hawks a run for their money on that.

As of now, I'd say Hawks are in a fine spot, safe for 1 point I'll elaborate below. They are not too tanky, they die easily, but they have the best agility in the game and decent firepower to counterbalance their squishiness. When anyone is trying them, it take a lot of getting used to, but it's a good class nonetheless. (They were definitely too tanky before, I'd run through a room full of bolters and just get away without no using of anything. Can't do that anymore)

So now about the "safe for 1 point". I will keep hammering this down for every single post I make about jump units.

Given how squishy jump units in general have become, getting them spotted on the map for taking to the skies, using the very mechanic that enables them to flank the enemy and giving the enemy the "hey you're flanking, now the opponent is aware of that!"
Jump Assaults/Raptors/StormBoyz/Hawks SHOULDN'T be spotted on the map when flying/boosting.

EDIT: Banshees could use a toy or two, such as improved movement speed in comparison to Eldar movement speed, an additionnal effect on the scream (perhaps to put on wargear 1/2). Or a new weapon... but need dual wielding for mirror swords or executioneer .... eeeeerh.
Note that Banshees in melee are pretty good. It's just they lack tools to GET in melee. What their scream should be... while it's just a melee damage buff.

Definately fly/jump units should never suffer an autospot. I thought I heard a rumour that Hawks were not going to be spotted anymore?

I would also agree that the Hawk EHP is actually good now. There are still 'tanky' single fuel cell builds that are very effective and instead of getting killed in the air actually get downed instead and can survive long enough to continue to fight if they wait for armour regen and find a place to get healed.

Agreed also on the banshees, they need an effective way to get into melee. I don't like i-frames, I think they cheapen any game they are part of. A choice of Speed and being hard to hit or tankability should be the way classes build to survive.

Honestly, all I want to see is the TTK raised across the board for all factions. Comparatively I would like to see the Eldar matchups have the otherall TTK reduced, slightly. So longer more epic fights happen between LSM CSM and Orks, while shorter, more brutal engagements are what Eldar matches become. I think honestly just a TTK raise of .5 secs would be a huge difference across the board.
