This thread is for the purpose of a poll, original thread here http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/eldar-concerns.23247/#post-453545 Question: If there were gaps in the eldar faction classes after launch, would you be willing to make a new character for the sake of filling in that gap? Considering the eldar classes are more diverse, it will be harder to balance forces. You cant have only avengers and you cant have only banshee's. There has to be a balance in the eldar forces, otherwise they would be ineffective on the battlefield, in theory.
Each time you die you will have a screen like this one and you will be able to choose class and loadout, so if you die because there is a lot of terminators, you can spawn as fire dragon, you need to hold a point? half of your squad spawn as scorpion to hold the ground and the other half as dire avenger for ranged support and so on.
Definitely give it a go (it's free), a few people (myself included) think that the class and progression system will be very similar to what PS2 has. It's also give you insight into how the game is going to be once the general public gets access to the game.
If you play it be prepared to do alot of dying to things you cant even see. Honestly I hope EC isnt very much like PS2
Heh, only if you're you're blind. The ttk is very short, which makes it unforgiving if you mistime a reload or are inattentive during a battle but generally infantry combat is quite fair (I can maintain a 1.5+ k/d even with 200 ping when I play on the US servers). Vehicles have issues with render ranges of infantry but that can be solved by smart piloting. Saying that, you will be a little handicapped till you can fully cert into a class or vehicle , but that gives more versatility (or specialisation) rather than direct power.
