  1. Why is it that like 90% of people that make eldar art forgetsbone of the mainnthings described in every book where eldar are present and described.
They have big oval milky eyes.
  2. Grigdusher Grigdusher Arch-Cardinal

    and skinny ass
  3. lanky body
  4. I thought they had Almond-shaped eyes?
  5. could perhaps be true :p but almonds are pretty oval, but what i wanted to really point out that their eyes where large and milky, not like human eyes.

It never says in any of the Codices (or any of the novels I've read, which admittedly is not all of them) that they are 'milky' - the whiteout eyes you see in the computer games I think are meant to indicate psychic powers being used, but it never ever says that Eldar have milky eyes anywhere ...

White Dwarf 127 (1990) - first extensive description of the Eldar culture - p. 13; "fine ascetic features and slightly slanted eyes. Their ears are also slightly pointed"
1994 Codex "Taste the Rainbow Edition" - doesn't actually tell you what they look like ...
2006 Codex, p3: "elegant features with penetrating, slanted eyes"
2012 Codex, p6: "Their keen ears are pointed and their slanted eyes possess a penetrating quality"

It's my birthday soon, the Craftworld Codex would be a good present :D Then I can add it to the list but I don't think it says "white eyes" :) I think the largeness and lucid quality of the eyes is mentioned in places too, but I don't have particular references to hand.

Jes Goodwin created the look (and the culture and so on) of the Eldar, so if anyone is looking for more info, search for his design sketches you will be able to find some good reference material on size and placement of Eldar eyes.

    I hope this helps :)
