based on? the fact that GW only released female miniatures of howling banshees? or is there some lore source you can quote? I ask since neither the lexicarnum or wikia say that male banshees have boob-plates
EC have no boobplates banshee, EC can show only approved materials so GW have approved no-boobplates banshee.
lol the picture from the article has a female dire avenger and a female dark reaper ... and I'm pretty sure they have "boob-plates" in the pic ... though in all fairness that section of their armour looks neither as thick or as clearly defined as the male chest plates on the other classes
somehow I suspect the model is interchangable at that point of the body the real questions should be ... do eldar boob-plates mean the female eldar have a greater chance to deflect incoming rounds from the front due to the increased slope it presents similiar to a tanks glacis plate armour? and does that mean the female eldar have a larger hitbox in the chest area from the side or from above then a male eldar?
As much as I like Biel Tan, I'd bet on Ulthwe and Iyanden. But since most of Eldar units use the same colours and we only have one unique class and three vehicles per craftworld, maybe we'll get all of them (or more than two at least) right from the start. On the other hand, warlocks and grav tanks do seem to be much more detailed than typical metal bawxes so despite having fewer models to colour all in all it may take as much time as with each marine chapter. Also it's a bit strange how both heavy and light aspect armours look exactly the same. They're not that different in TT of course, but I think I expected *some* bulkier details on heavy armours (especially since in RTS they're two separate items). Unless bE completely ignored that distinction (or the difference in survivability is basically meaningless), people not familiar with Eldar will have a bit of a problem distinguishing 'which ones have more hp...?' at first.
Actually any Aspect can be male or female (various Codices). It doesn't. It has literally never, ever said in the official lore anywhere that this is the case, unless I've missed it over all the Codices, several novels and many issues of White Dwarf. It literally does not say this anywhere. Not to get pissed off with you personally, you understand but I have yet to discover where it says this "in the lore" except that someone pulled it out of their arse on some wiki somewhere and people went with it. It's got no official source. If anyone can show me the official GW source and page I'll check it out and if it's true, I will totally accept it. But I think you'll find it's some person's idea of a joke and about on the level of "dey iz all panzees hur hur". ... sorry about that. But it, you know, gets my goat I hate to disagree with you Shady but a look at the tabletop models shows otherwise since launch in the late 80s/early 90s, with female Guardians, Howling Banshees and later some of the plastic Dire Avengers all with female moulded torso plates. The good news is that, since they're all well sculpted, they show reasonable proportions and it looks like these are possibly the foundation for the works in progress above. So .. uhm ... Eldar boobs are in safe hands?

I dont know, they are xenos... who can understand xenos and they SHOULD look off!! ive read them described as something "not right" or some descriptor. PS: mmmm boob plates.......
