The rokkit is growing on me it could do with more shots, but its accuracy and damage is fine, either more shots or a re work of charge time and it would be go to, it isn't however a patch on Melta in terms of AV.
I'm sorry to see you go. I understand that frustration. I really do. Personally, I'm just finding more excuses to play something else or go out to the bar for the night. I don't intend to uninstall this game at all. I'll take breaks to let my nerves calm before I dive back in. As for the developers not "hav[ing] much of a clue", I would like to point out that this is a relatively new team and their management has changed significantly. I will just be patient and wait. Perhaps we all agree to come back when the patch notes look promising? I know I will, and I would like to see you all there too.
Huh, they actually managed to fix super stikkbombs? I'm actually quite surprised. They finally managed to fix it after, how many patches is it now? At least two?
Oh im far from gone, I just plan to wait until the game gives me a chance to let me play it regularly again. I still stand by them not having much of a clue. But I still feel things are fixable! Im my opinion we need to wait until the return of the rest of the studio seeing as they are working with star citizen now. I feel with more attention the game can be polished. its the just the wait and to be honest, the sheer amount of salt thrown.
As a long time forum lurker, avid fan and backer of the game who has sunk a good amount of time in to it now, reading this thread saddens me. Orks are struggling no doubt. I bought the game to play as a chaos marine. I loved the chaos marines. Always have in their lore and back stories and the sheer evil brutality of them. And then they added Orks. I barely played my marine in the past few weeks as i have fallen in love with the orks. they are funny. they are orky. last few patches though have made it worse and worse trying to play them. Getting cleaned up by terrible players on the opp forces using cheap weapons was a brain drain on me and pushed me away. I got to the point of frustration yesterday that i logged out and played my chaos sorcerer instead. The difference in play ability was wild. I was carving up terrible Loyalist space marines left and right. I could actually compete with them. When playing the traitor with bolt gun most assault marines who came at me got headshotted when i had the time to see them. All of this from playing orks. If you can play an Ork then you can truly destroy other classes with the marines. going from averaging 7-10 aps per game as an ork (mainly pb or slugga) all the way to 18 ap (as a sorc and yes i was healing everyone i could but hes only level 3) showed that there are some real issues with the orks. That said i will continue to queue with my ork guy first when time permits as i absolutely love "punchin in coordinates wiv me fists" but i hope the devs see whats happening and try and get it right.
For the first month Eldar / CSM / Ork where dominating in that order due to net coding bugs & mechanics just being plain better. During that time there where no complains from the Ork community. Then the net coding bugs with Eldar & Ork where fixed, head shot durability increased, back shot durability decreased, CSM & LSM Armour increased and now all of a sudden Ork has no love from the devs? even though they where dominating for the last month and there was no problem. Hrm. CSM & LSM didn't need an armour increase, Ork didnt need the re-allocation of durability. What we need is less lag (server connection problems need to be fixed) and higher FPS (more optimization passes) Then I'd be happy to go back to the way it was (bar the net coding fixes, they can stay fixed)

We never have 'loved' the devs.. We've just not been mad at them for not putting us on a level playing field all around, we've lacked effective long-range, anti-vehicle, and anything to counter power-weapons of ANY sort for a long time. But now they're putting us on par with other groups in the fields that we excelled in once; melee speeds, durability, and short-mid range, without fixing our other areas to truly 'balance', effectively putting us at a notable disadvantage in one fell swoop. On top of that, a number of our weapons are bugged or effectively unusable due to this reason or that. -AND- they're giving SM new tools without even so much as hinting as they're giving us something similar or something to change up our game play up. Still, can't blame them for trying to get as many people to stick with them as possible and catering primarily to the SM fanbase.
Yeah the Kannon Deffgun for Lootas is just terrible as an anti tank weapon. Dont know much about Eldar equivelant but its nothing compared to the Laz Cannon, though better at taking out infantry. And there's no Meltagun equivalent (although Meltagun sucks right now) The Power Klaw + Super Stikkbomb is the best way to go it seems. But that's Ground based Slugga Melee only as Stormboy cant equip it. Melee anti tank isn't very efficient right now across the board, especially against Eldar. What'd be great if JPA / Raptor / Stormboy could just land on top of the tank and rip the hatch off by holding down strong attack, then when it gets to 5% health perform an execution on the tank which rips out any remaining driver / gunner, jump into the air as the tank blows up and crush their skull in the Power Klaw / Fist then landing a safe distance away after throwing the corpse down *that'd be epic*
