  1. "I am Kalju Hopebringer! And yes, the macabre may delight those who spin our fate, but when times are grim, some of us have been trained to brighten those times. Of course, some species definitely prefer the grim. Spinning a valiant tale of a Paladin of Pelor is not a good way to escape imprisonment by a bunch of Orcs, especially when the big bad is a death Cleric of Gruumsh."

"At least you all seem to be quite talkative, mh?" The Dragonborn said with a deep hum, hoping for much input on the various philosophies, opinions and cultures from the mixed group. She was equally curious about each and if they believed and if so, in what. For herself it was easy that Bahamut indeed is real and guides her in one way or another, that he would aid her to always act righteous and just, not without reason but with mind and intuition. Not to be prejudiced, but fair and give everyone a chance to proof themselves.

Artana smiled bright across the party, almost not caring about the objective itself anymore, but the people she would travel and fight with.

"i have rented a room in the tavern for each of you, id recomend geting a good nights sleep before you deploy into the cavern" as the employer spoke he looked at the party "i wish you all luck in the adventure as i wont be able to join you" as he spoke he laughed "unfortunetly for me the majority of the cavern is made of iron and as my power is linked to the fey we cant enter there without problems, before i leave you are there any questions"

Ragnar nodded to his employer as he got up on his feet and picked up his things, alongside the gold and supplies. But instead of going to bed, the Dwarf had other ideas on how to spend his free time. He went downstairs and took a seat at one of the free tables. Once the barmaid came, he ordered five tankards of beer and some dried sausages with goat cheese.

The moment he got that, he began feasting in a way only a Dwarf could. What better way to spend time on the eve of battle than drinking and eating?

"I shall read a bit in my room. Please do not hesitate to join me, if you are interested in a conversation." Artana told the others in her serene voice before standing up and bowing to the Employer. "Your trust in us shall not be wrongly put, also I have no questions, the objective is clear." She rose her head and then walked outside, casting a smile upon the group she met before leaving through the door.

  6. Kalju stood up, bowing theatrically with a wide sweep of his arms that narrowly missed those seated next to him.

"I am thoroughly looking forward to adventuring with you all. Should you want to share a story, or hear one, I shall be downstairs, regaling the patrons of this fine establishment with a story, and maybe a song or two."

The Bard left the room, gathering up his gold and heading downstairs. He waved over the barmaid as he set up his instruments at a corner table.

"I will have a herb-roasted half-chicken, a loaf of bread, and some of that delicious butter I saw earlier, along with a tankard of your finest ale."

The Drow nodded and looked to her companions. Whether they would be formidable remained to be seen, but in her heart, Abraxas had no doubt about their quality. Unlikely groups always did make for the greatest heroes.

She moved downstairs, grabbing her rucksack and finding a comfortable seat. When the woman spotted a barmaid, she called her over. "Fine servant girl! Would you show me the utterest kindness and go, fetch me a tankard of your clearest water and a loaf of bread. Some cheese would make this humble servant even more happy. Rice, if you have it - but of course, this is but a humble establishment, so I would understand a lack of the white treasure. An apple, too. I know, you ask, why such a humble meal, but let me affirm this is purest luxury to one of my ilk!"
With a slight smile, she leaned back and watched the Tiefling intently and openly, waiting for his show as she removed her breastplate to make for ease of breathing, the leather below being enough to protect her decency as well as her health.

The door opened once again and in stepped a human female. She was, perhaps a bit on the short side, being only five foot. (~152-153 cm for you Metric users. ;) ) She threw her hood back revealing her short blonde hair, which she had tied back. The rain outside had soaked her a bit, but she seemed to pay it no mind, heading straight to ask around, expecting a room to have been reserved, of which she found to be true.

She headed there without wasting any time. Once she reached the door, she opened the door and peaked inside, to check if she had indeed found the right room.

Ragnar was in the middle of his 4th tankard as he saw one of the Tieflings named Kalju joining for the dinner. He heard him order some chicken and it made Dwarf grunt, he never liked those birds anyway. But the Bard redeemed himself by taking some beer alongside that.

As he began massacring the goat cheese, he waved over to where the Bard was sitting. "Heeghhy Kalljjjjujju," the Dwarf spoke as he ate which would some deem rude, (perhaps that Drow Paladin - hopefully that Drow Paladin haha), but Ragnar was an old campaigner who didn't really care about the things such as polite behavior.

"Hey Kalju," he repeated as he finally swallowed that bite, "Do you know that song "Busty Barmaid Mary?" Would love to hear that one, before we all meet our doom on the morrow?"

Braxis began to get ready to head out to the others to order some food for himself when he saw another women come in. "Are you with the adventuring group If so You seem to have come to the right place mam. So far we have A bard, A paladin, A cleric and a fighter, and a man of words myself." he said as he introduced himself he shook her hand. "I am braxis." the tiefiling said as he shook her hand with one of his gloved own. "If you want to meet the ohters there down stairs we are all going to have dinner and we also have our own rooms." he said
