Easy enough to justify a paint job and still show an old Mark of armour though. Plus there are still some DA who wear their original colors
Well when you put it like that Yea I would have to agree and I admit I didnt fully think it through T-T But we can at least Dream.
To be done anywhere near right it needs to, at the very least, have its own game, and at most its own Saga. Though i doubt you would be able to do MMO. Ive always been a RTS fan myself, but i think you need more a of Halo/GoW/SM type game. Something that can protray the betrayal, death, and massive destrution and do it properly. That would be the game that you could play as a Titan, fight in a Shadowsword, attempt to survive Istavvan. Space Marine look and feel but with the support and drive behind the halo series, done on a next gen-console (halo 4 was a beautiful looking game, whatever your opinion). Should be able to choose Loyalist or Fallen and see the two versions of the same story play out. There is a lot of potential if a company could do that game/series right.
The only company i can think of that "maybe" Can pull that off Is Creative Assembly and if iam not mistaken there busy working on warhammer fantasy and still busy fixing Rome 2 atm.
Maybe if they do something like an Istvaan V Drop Site Massacre special event where the entire server (if they want to) can join and take part in main battle.
Reskin the ENTIRE GAME!? How about they sell us armour skins and parts as cosmetics for one to use? instead of a reskin of an entire game it would take a very very long time. It is more or less money vs time, you would put in a lot of time and money into this, and as some mentioned you might as well in that case make an entire new MMO. A reskin of the entire game you might as well make a new game because the art assets would be enough to do that. And i will spare the lore reasons already written in this thread.
I'd like to see the same team tackle the Horus Heresy. The entire Heresy is pretty well fleshed out in the books. Make it a few of the major battles that people could participate in. Over time the game could move through the Heresy. So the previously loyal legions would turn traitor. Participate in Istvaan V and the Siege of Terra. Obviously wouldn't be canon. The results might be different but it would be cool as hell. If Eternal Crusade has enough success, Behavior could make this a thing. Be the new THQ and pump out some Warhammer 40k games that focus on the MMO style instead of RTS.
