Ok so a Rhino only has enough room for ten players in a squad, does that mean only one of those ten can use the gun or is there enough room for a eleventh designated gunner?

10 Players inside Rhino. 1 Drives, 1 is spotter, 1 operates the gun and then rest 7 are passengers. that's the way i would see it working.

That actually makes me wonder if the Chimera would have 12 seats total, 12 passenger seats plus crew (which would be ~14 seats, depending on how many gunners it has and whether some of the gun seats count as "passengers").

If im reading the lexicanum right the rhino can use 2 storm bolters, 1 controlled remotely by the driver and the other is used by a passenger through the top hatch. I dont think the driver is included in the transport limit. I cant see a squad of marines leaving one of there guys behind to watch the rhino while they advance on foot, also cant see them leaving it alone. I think they generally have a 2 man crew but its been a while since i read about them. If they do have 2 crew then i guess you would split the driving and primary storm bolter controls so the 2nd guy had a job, would make more since to just remove the 2nd crewman though.

According to our sources (and yes, I'm aware of the tabletop weirdness here but this is the lore), a Rhino has 10 total Space Marines in it, including 1 driver and 1 gunner. So we're starting our testing with these assumptions!

So it can only deliver 8 troops if the driver and gunner stay. That can't be right if a full tac squad gets out of a Rhino that means the driver just left it to fight but if the squad dies and the Rhino lives it can move next turn how does that work?

Lorewise the driver is a marine right? A serf driving would explain only carrying 10 marines but i'm pretty sure they generally refer to the driver as brother.

Yes, these statements are true. It's weird.

As I understand it, a Rhino can transport 11 marines: 1 driver and 10 passengers. The storm-bolter is operated remotely by one of the passengers.

I say One Driver and One gunner with Ten in transport, but!! Take away the gun that should be the drivers and give it to a passenger, just my opinion, but that's relying on the gunner staying in or the driver becomes defenseless after the drop.
