Eldritch Surface - Webway Still drawing on the warp Jacen spun away from Claudius with a flourish. Only a single scratch had been inflicted on the Ultramarine, so impressive his defence had been. Jacen had talents too though and as he threw himself into another attack he forced his mind's eye to see the future. [OOC: 1H Power Spear (5) [1] against Claudius. Casting Perfect Timing on self]
@Uriel1339 Mariel, after all, was in no position to deny such powerful man in the Imperium. He nodded, offering the paper to the Master of Assassins. "Of course, my Lord. He allowed me to borrow a small ship from Terra so I can transport a very minimal amount of troops over to Golbez. It will certainly not suffice, especially when a ship of such class is not able to provide steady barrages of artillery fire."
@Keidivh | the sudden bursting of wings from their chaplain caused bargov to look at zuriel in bewilderment. Suppose what they say about the blood angels is true isn't it? the only thing that keeps them all from looking exactly like their father was the lack of wings. The devastator shook himself out of that state and switched to his heavy bolter while moving to bruno. @Mohax | Bargov barely gave the tactical any time to respond before shoving the heavy missile launcher into his arms. "No time! start shooting frag missiles at those sorcerers! No, I'm not giving you a choice in this matter!" Attack: Compact Suppression Heavy Bolter (10) [AOE x 2.5 instead of x 2.0] (Ignores 3 Armor) + Heavy Weapon Artificer (+1 hit) against astartes sorcerer. Action: give ordinator missile launcher (Forcefully) to Bruno.
"So you will not answer what I said? You just wish to attack me without seeing reason and insult me by ignoring me? So be it then. You will have your fight," Claudius said as he clutched his hammer tightly. He then charged towards Jacen and activated his jump pack, bring himself crashing down towards Jacen. He then swung Calth's Vengeance over head towards the stubborn son of Khan. Last, he kept his shield at the ready to for any coming attacks. OOC: Calth's Vengeance (formerly 'Fudge Breakah') - 8 hits, ignores 5 armor, AoE Blue Meteor - crush with full-speed via Jump Pack into an enemy, attack with 3 hits, ignore all armor. Can be used twice per deployment (bonus attack, does not take one hand up) Champion's Shield.
There were few times when Zuriel experienced truly horrific pain, but this would classify as one of those moments. But the pain was nothing compared to the spiritual pain, horrified that he was mutated by the powers of the Warp, purity being of the utmost to importance to any Sanguine Templar. And they took that away from him. More than that, they insulted his Primarch, daring to sully his image with such a sacrilegious display. They would drown in their blood for such an offense "FOR THE EMPEROR AND SANGUINIUS, DEATH! DEATH!" The enraged Viceroy bellowed, throwing himself amongst the sorcerers with reckless abandon, Crozius swinging with deadly intent through the air, even using his new found wings to batter and bloody the damned heretics for their transgression! OOC: Crozius Arcanum - 5 hits, ignores 2 Armor, Crozius of the Eighteen Primarchs - 6 hits, ignores 2 Armor (and wings) against Sorcerers 1 and 2 any around them
Scorched by warp flame and shoked by Zuriel's transformation, for a second Bruno was overwhelmed by image of Sanguinius in his mind. But his rational part knew this couldnt happen, for he saw Sanguinius body in his tomb on Baal. @seabass | "... in this matter!" he heard Bargov, and found a missile launcher in his lap. And then Viceroy bellowed his battlecry, and Bruno returned it: "Death! Death! DEATH!", his hands moving purely on muscle memory, Angel Sanguine primed missile launcher and fired into heretics ranks. OOC: ordinator missile launcher attack (frag) on sorcerer #9: 7 hits AoE. Sry if im making mistakes in composing sentences.
~~ Eldritch Surface - Webway ~~ @matt23 | @Avenging-Angel The fight grew immediately in intensity as Jacen pulled more from the warp to give himself an advantage, and very well timed so. His vision became very clear and somehow he could see the future movements of Claudius, the very way he would move his shield. And so the Stormseer in the making swiftly moved around the block cut through the straps as well as the lower arm of Claudius to disarm him from his shield, followed by a piercing thrust into armpit of the Ultramarine, splashing the Deathwatch armor with blood of Macragge. But Claudius wouldn't be bested this easily by a young psyker. Both built some distance up for the next clash, and the Ultramarine came down with all his ferocity, becoming a Blue Meteor smashing down into Jacen. Just then the young seer lost his warp-enhanced senses and was a bit disoriented, causing him to get hit with a massive hammer straight to the chest and sending him flying until eventually landed with his back on the floor, skidding across it until he came to a stop. The armor might have not absorbed much of the hit as it was dented inwards and at least three rib bones broke. But Claudius' wasn't completely unharmed either. But was death of either truly necessary? "I can open the Webway, Claudius." The Blood Raven Librarian reminded the orb-carrying lord and they could get underway. The Webway already flickered on and off with energy and seemed to be ready in an instant, if it was willed so. OOC: Jacen - 9 hits, Ignores 2 Armor => Claudius Shield Disarmed & 3 Hits => 7/10 WL => 0 LS Claudius - 5 hits, Ignores 5 Armor => Jacen 5 Hits => 3/9 WL => 1 LS => 4/9 WL Claudius - 1 crit. fail => Counter => 1 hit => 6/10 WL => 0 LS ~~ Boarding of Black Jewel ~~ @Keidivh | @TechCaptain | @seabass[/USER | @Wata | @Mohax The fight grew with intensity as the miniature Sanguinius unleashed his anger against the sorcerers, easily tearing them in half as the thirst and rage started to grasp at his heart. The betrayal of Claudius being fresh on mind and strong in emotion. Explosions ringing from frag grenade and Missile Launcher helped the Sanguine Templar to focus on the task at hand a bit, pulling his Crozius' away from the corpses, but not having thought of his new flesh on his back as the frag shards pierced right through them, sending a jolt of pain throughout his spine. The fresh grown meat and bones were weak compared to the rest of his body. Several feathers landed on the floor as the remaining feathers got tainted in his own blood. At least the explosions killed one more sorcerer and almost finished two others off. Tul attacked next togeter with Erxandros. First was the Sealance Launcher which pierced the Sorcerer in his chest just when the Sorcerer sent a chain lightning bolt forth which jumped between Bargov, Erxandros, Tul and Bruno doing only artificial harm. Tul stopped the Astartes Sorcerer with his Meltagun, which got completely ruined by the chain lightning, and let him scream in pain while Erxandros closed in for a final blow with his massive servo-arm punching a gaping hole through the chest of the Sorcerer, drenching his holy martian equipment in heretical sorcerer blood. However the death of the guiding light to the warp was quite a backlash to the entirety of all warriors as the warp unleashed between the cabal in all freedom of it's raw potential. As they unleashed their chains of torment that grabbed everyone and squeezed them in extreme agony and pain - especially Erxandros and Bruno - also the very spirits of the warp came through. Luckily no daemons materialized but with it instead came shattering voices of truth that nobody wanted to hear, or some could not even bare. Three Sorcerers almost immediately lost their heads in violent explosions, scratching their eyes and parts of their brain out or their brain imploding within their skull as the warp rift hovered over them. Erxandros, Tul and Bruno lost their consciousness to the voices as their minds had to gather everything they had to in order to give some resistance to the voices. Zuriel and Bargov were the only conscious members while Xarxis slowly came back and rose to his feet as if he knew that he was needed. Luckily the Sorcerers struggled with their focus and could not cast any more spell without risking their lives. ~~ Nightmare Voices ~~ @TechCaptain - Erxandros (Dream Sequence) Erxandros the moment darkness succumbed around him, there was a sudden scream right in his face, iron hands on his cheeks as a horrid morphed Alderson was right before him, the only thing he could see. No matter if he closed his eyes or looked away. He could not push his mentor away either. "You killed me, Erxandros! You failed your task!" The Master of the Forge screeched as his face melted before the Iron Snake, and with it the entire shape of Alderson. Though when he turned around there was a giant Alderson in the size of an Emperor Titan, bringing his foot down and smashing Erxandros into an apparent death, yet he found himself falling in a bottomless pit. And before him the agonizing death of Alderson as his body was torn by the crashing vessel and how he screamed while his body and armor burned up in the atmosphere. It was moving almost in slow-motion to make sure he could see an every moment. @Wata - Tul (Dream Sequence) The moment Tul found himself standing a top of a volcano, a massive Dreadnought powerfist pierced through his chest and lifted him up, so he was elevated right above the lava beneath himself. "I sacrificed myself for you... I live... But look at me! Everyday I forget more of my life! Even in death I serve. A death you should have suffered! I caught every shell for you! And now I am nothing but a warmachine! I have no life. No honor. No respect. Only blood to shed! And I will repay you that debt gladly." @Mohax - Bruno (Dream Sequence) Bruno found himself surrounded by a squad of familiar faces. "You are a coward." One spat, ramming a knife into his kidney. "You should have died with us." Another knife pierced his liver. "You left us to rot, Bruno." One knife was rammed into his heart. "You ran from the Orks and hid beneath the rocks!" Another knife pierced his Larraman's Organ. "We all died, so you could live! You should have died in our stead, Bruno!" His former Sergeant yelled, ramming his chainsword through his neck. The pain was real but it wouldn't quite kill him. And the blood would just continue to flow, causing to create quite a puddle at their feet. @Keidivh - Zuriel (Conscious) "You cannot save them. Just like you couldn't save your brothers on Signus Prime. Just like you couldn't save the Steel Predator. Just like you couldn't save Claudius. Soon all of them will belong to Chaos. Like Uriel. As we speak he tears Athenallas open like a walnut. We both know that Carnage lingers for blood of an every foe. How do you think he has taken the news of Claudius' betrayal? Yes.... Exactly... He has given into the rage because you did not take the crazed machine spirit away from him when he offered it to you all that time back on the Iron Liberator. And look at yourself now. Imitating your Primarch, sullying the martyr's legend and name by having grown these mutant wings... And you call yourself a Viceroy? More like a Word Bearer at it's finest. Why do you fight chaos anyway? Just give into it and Khorne may make you one of his very champions. A Daemon Prince perhaps even. You would make a fine priest of blood. Just swear your allegiance by giving into the rage... Take the power you need to at last slay all your opponents. Golbez, Claudius, everyone who betrays you and the Imperium. Just kill them all and end it once and for all!" The dark voice chuckled as the presence hovered all around Zuriel the Sanguine Templar. Yet he could still very much see the sorcerers, it took him a lot to focus on them and not listen to the voice at all. Control became harder, but it would take more to completely shake this Viceroy. @seabass - Bargov (Conscious) The Brazen Claw was actually apparently ignored by the voices, until eventually his eyes fell on Zuriel and all that Bargov could see was the gaze of a Bloodletter where Zuriel's head used to be. Yet it faded in and out. Was it real? Or a trap to do friendly fire? "You cannot trust anyone... Remember how you even lied to Seelenbrand yourself? Nobody can trust a liar like yourself, and they lie to you too. Or do you not know of how close Zuriel and his brother Uriel really are? How they have fallen and given into their desires of blood, including drinking it from one another in very creative ways?" A feminine voice whispered into Bargov's ear. "You better kill him before he decides to drink your and Erxandros' blood. After all, the more iron there is, the more tasteful it is to him. He basically already is a Khornate... Better save his soul before he completely turns into a daemon, yes? Claudius didn't trust him because of that, his endless thirst for blood. He is no Sanguine Templar. He is a Vampire and Cannibal. Kill him... Kill him before he devours all of you..." The woman chuckled as the face of Zuriel continued to shift between that of a Bloodletter and that of his true self. He handed the paper back with a sly grin. It seemed far too coincidental that Drakan Vangorich was here to intercept Mariel, then again, he just wanted to do what had to be done.

@Uriel1339 "Dast, no!" Tul screamed, startled and confused by his former sergeants' sudden intrusion of his mind. Is this real? Guilt wracked his mind, but he tried to concentrate and focus his thoughts. "It was out of our hands! I couldn't...!" At first he attempted to pry open the dreadnoughts fist but soon relented as he realized he was above lava and he surely lacked physical might to best a dreadnought in the first place. Instead he removed his helmet, tossing it aside into the lava. "We were betrayed, I tried to save us! I didn't want this fate on you, I would take your place in the sarcophagus if it were a choice! Can't you remember, we were - we are brothers!" Memories of the cursed planet Hasto flooded his mind. This can't be real, he thought.

To refuse a chance to bring back the Emperor, is to refuse the Imperium's future. What say you, Brother? Will you come with me and watch out for any sign of curroption?"
