~~ Earlier ~~ "Just stay away from them, Aldrim and Thain!" The Ronin ordered, swinging his sword to take another Skitarii apart, being glad about the Eldar as their ranged firepower was required now. ~~ Now ~~ The united forces of Eldar Strikeforce and Human Deathwatch had no trouble at all against the vanguard force. Bolters, Shuriken, Flamers, several melee weapons of all kind and warp sorcery ripped the mechanical warriors of Skitarii apart. Though as soon as the combat ceased, there was no time to regroup. On both, Eastern and Western entrances came fifty Skitarii, as well as four sentinels. At least it seemed they wouldn't or couldn't use Artillery fire as they want the Ruins and drill intact... Which also turned on as if remote-controlled. The Drill roared loud, making talking talking completely insufficient as it was hard enough to hear your own thoughts. The volume of the drill, making it's way into the ground echoed additionally through the huge hall, making it probably even worse than it would be required to. The Valkyrie and Wave serpent exploded outside and soon Fusion Blasters and Burst Cannons from the South Entrance fired on Eldar and Astartes alike. ~~ Shin Zhu ~~ "TAAAAUUU!" Shin roared over the vox as loud as he could, hoping the others around would hear it, sprinting straight for the south entrance. ~~ Su'iris ~~ The Black Guardian growled in pain as soon as the Drill came to life, directly looking at the Drill and then at the ones around her, Teras and Noctis in particular, desiring to see how they do.
--Zillyay-- zillyay smiled she didn't mine the noise of the drill it just blocked out the voices in her head. She saw several shots go by her and hit the astartes tarcain in the left leg. Her smile widened even more. "Ahhh there are the tau good they stopped playing cowardly." Zillyay spotted to marine already Moving into better cover. she decided to head with him by simply useing her jump generators to reach cover. --Tarain-- Tarcain felt as several shots hit him in the left leg. Tarcain. "WE ARE SURROUNDED" he roared over his box. tarcain looked for cover and potted some a few feet away he quickly used his assault pack to give him a running boost before rolling into cover.
<Aldrim> The noise was unbearable, Aldrim placed his wolf helm back on his head, drowning out the sound of the drill... well what it could of the immense noise... Seeing the new Skitarii forces advance on their position Aldrim knew they were out numbered... the number of rounds they could spit at him before he got close enough for melee was too high... he unclipped a krak grenade and lobbed it into the mass of foe's advancing on their position... knowing that the stopping power of a krak grenade could potentially cause internal systems of those not initially hit by the explosion to malfunction from the shock wave... or alternatively buying him enough time to cover the distance and engage in melee without being shot to shit before hand...
-Noctis- Noctis turned and repositioned himself into cover and immediately began firing upon the Tau as they funneled in through the entrance. ~Caerys~ Caerys moved behind cover to avoid incoming blasts from the Tau while firing warp bolts in their direction. The bolts killing a few and stunning others. | Layairda | The Banshee positioned herself next to Caerys, not wanting to expose herself to the Tau guns. She held her power sword tightly, ready to slaughter any Tau who may draw too close.
Thain roared, he was furius that the eldar was supposedly allies, the meer thought made him cringe. Though he dident fear death a bit, he wasent stupid, he had to stay where the fighting was heaviest, maybe it could keep the disgusting xenos away, he heard shin yell tau, and he saw the advancing skitarii. Thain took the Choice and charged right at the big number of skitarii, his fury was great and to gain more speed he even ran on all fors, he could bring his axe back when he was in the fighting again. Thain had to fight some instincts to make him not charge at the eldar, so he allmost closed all but the enermy out, if he was to die today, it would not be near an eldar, it would be alone or besides Aldrim. The shots from the skitarii where many, and though some struck him, he moved with the speed only spacewolves could have.
The noise from the drill was incredibly distracting, but Nithrak did his best to ignore it. Taking cover, he provides supporting fire for Aldrim and Thain.
~~ 'Unknown Chaos Sorcerer' ~~ "Soon it will be mine and you all dead in the dirt and dust of this world." A psychic voice to the most of the warriors sounded in their heads as the battle kept on getting hotter and hotter. "Krauz couldn't stop me, neither will you be able to. Not even the entire lot of you... And once I am done... I will take Taldeer like I intended back then already... Not to forget the daemon among you will make a nice offer for... Fabius." The words ended and a maniacal laughter from the Sorcerer came across their brains. ~~ Tau Force & Drill ~~ Several Battlesuits were destroyed by Noctis aim which was guided by Taldeer who could sense their presence, red blood gushed forwards instead of the purple-blue the Tau usually had. The Drill was also already deep enough to finally grind on the Wraithbone. ~~ Shin Zhu ~~ Shin rolled away as a Stealth Suit was revealed right in front of him. Luckily a Blast from Caerys just hit the Tau and obliterated the entire pilot. 'She has to stop aiding me or I will always be in debt by my honor....' ~~ Zu'ark ~~ "How many more are to come?!" The Warlock wanted to know as a surge in warp presence came up and distracted him. The presence was familiar to him. The distraction enough for him to not notice the Thunderbolt that came up from nowhere to his right. ~~ West Front ~~ Thain sprinted along the two to three hundred meters of the way they would need to pass until to get to him. Blind Fury and superhuman strength would be not enough to keep him alive though as all the weapons were aimed upon him. To the Wolfs luck, Aldrim had thrown a Krak Grenade that killed one and disabled three around him, but that were still too many which would work without problems. Their weapons came to live, all directed at Thain as most immediate danger. The Sentinels also opened their weapons, each equipped with Rocket Launchers. And soon the air was blazing with Bolters, Rockets and Las Rifle fire.
<Razauil> Hearing the voice in his head only amused Razauil. "All you do is blablabla Ahriman. You bore me," he smiled as he turned towards western front. He saw the Space Wolves running into the gauntlet and he laughed. "So noble, so fierce, so stupid," Razauil went into the overlooking position, his superior range covering half of the front. He raised his launcher and aimed at the nearest Sentinel, shooting for its weak spots - joints, fuel tank, anything he could pinpoint from this position. Let the Space Marines deal with infantry. This Reaper will deal with the vehicles... (OOC gogogo OP trait! )
Teras- That miserable drill was all he could muster for a thought as it fired up with such horrendous volume. Still there were other concerns that needed tending such as the Tau. Their armor was rather effective against his shurikens but so were the Skitarii's augments meaning very little had changed. His eyes watched carefully for disruptions in the smoke around them for where the Stealth Suits were moving through, keeping his fire a bit lower to make sure he wasn't just firing over their heads. Quickly finding it a moot point seeing as he wasn't making terribly much progress on that hunt Teras refocused on the usual covering fire role, resplendent in his Aspect's colorful armor and his great crested helm he made for an obvious target but that was simply as things should be, his Aspect demanded he be in the fight, at it's thickest and facing the enemy without fear so the others could do their parts unhindered. Lingren- Working through the Librarian's wounds as fast as he can manage Lingren digs out shattered pieces of glass and metal shards left from his destroyed bionic, depositing them on the ground carelessly before moving on to the arm, with no capability to replace a limb right then and there the best he can settle for is leaving it cauterized. The Sentinels weaponry opened fire, his ears distinctively recognizing the sounds of Rocket Launchers. "Looks like they brought heavy weapons teams or worse. Need to get back to the fight. " Leaving him with only a firm slap on the shoulder guard he returned to the fray, working his way from cover to take down the organized advance of the Skitarii.
Ooc: also posting a little for alex since he will be busy the rest of the day. It angered Thain that he would need to make cover, but he new he had too, they where allready allmost ready tear him apart with their weapons. So Thain took the sensible choice and jumped in behind a large rock, it shoock him a bit to make such a sudden stop, he was still aflame with anger, he wantet to get to melee, but it dident matter if he died on the Way there. As soon as he catched his breath, he could see Aldrim was also beginning to move, though more carefully, still keeping far away from any eldar, Aldrim was also fighting his anger towards the xeno scum. Thain clicked on his dispencer, it still had a couple, as he clicked it, and the 3 mini nades slipped out, the fire started erupting, pinning him to his position with gun fire. Thain still chose to throw them, not by getting up, but by priming them to a couple of seconds before lobbing them over the rock, to the general derection of the skitarii force.
