Shin Zhu listened intently, when the inquisitor finished he spoke up, "I believe the priority for us is to speak with the governor and to cut out the infestationon the planet. This will allow us to buy time for the defense set up, especially if it's genestealers. I propose we make those two tasks as primary objective when we arrive."
"I suggest that other than the Inquisitior's team, the rest of us split up into two teams. One to investigate the xenos and one to check the status of the people and help strengthen the defences.
"Sounds reasonable, brother. If we are to split like this, I would like to voulenteer for the team which will be occupied with the defences." - said Rafikiel and took a step forward.
The Inquisitor nodded towards the proposals but left the decisions to Stevanus. "All I can say is that my highest priority is to engage the Governor and find out what he knows, what he did in the past and if he is a help or a danger towards this mission. The infestation must be indeed found, if not then we could be overrun the moment we win against the Tyranids and I would like to avoid being killed as an exhausted man. We have somewhere between one month and three months time till the Tyranids reach us, depending on their feeding durations and if anyone will stay in their path."
Shin Zhu raised his eyebrows, "So we know for sure that it's a hive fleet? What of the invading tau? Or the possibility of the dark eldars?"
"We know a hive fleet is heading for this world, but we do not know about the infiltration, it could be Genestealers that are preparing this world to be devoured, but it also could be any other Xenos or Heretic infestation." Shin Zhu nodded, "the war against the great devourer will not be won on the ground. Nearly every instance when the imperium broke the back of a hive fleet happened in space. We should prepare only to hold back the tide on the planet while the imperial navy do the main fighting, or preparing ourselves for boarding actions in orbit. I've heard successful boarding actions against a bio ship by a joint ultramarine and red scorpion operation against behemoth. The tyranid is a much larger threat than any of the other possible foes, and we know they are coming."
