Chaplain laughed "Well I think it has something to do with my origins and the place where I have grown up. Our planet is one huge jungle with mountains and plains here and there. And is completely filled with all kinds of different things that have only one wish. To eat you". Stevanus continued as he fixed a Thousand Sons Sorcerer helm to the chain on his belt "So we had to learn how to fight early. And taking trophies from our hunts and battles was a way to show off" he laughed. "Vanity is for the weak, I am well aware of that" he smiled "But we cannot change who we are or what lies in our blood".
"Aye..." Noctis replied glancing down to the Eye of Isha. "Well while we're out it may as well lay it all out in the open, is there anything you wish to know?"
Stevanus looked Noctis in the eyes "Some good Chaplain's would investigate your affection towards Eldars, and some would even consider it heresy. But you see, I am not a good Chaplain at all" he finished with a smile. "Bottom line is, I trust you with my life. As I said, we cannot change who we are nor should that even be possible" "I know it sounds like a cliche, but choices we took during our lives made us persons that we are now. I only know that we are here in service to a higher cause, and no life spent doing the right thing is a life spent in vain".
Noctis chuckled. "You're a fine Chaplain Stevanus. Many would think my relationship with the Eldar heretical, I agree, but variation in our race is one of our greatest strengths. Some see the Eldar as untrustworthy, which in a way, they are right. There are good and bad in all races. Just as the Chaos Marines are the dark side of our race." Noctis paused for a moment. "You did well aboard that ship Chaplain. If it weren't for you and Lorenzo, I'd be dead right now."
"Thank you brother. The Emperor commands, we act" Chaplain said with a smile. "If you wish, when I go to the chapel, I would like you to join me in prayer. I believe it would ease your mind. Or of course, we could skip that and go directly to the training pits" he laughed. OOC going to bed now, good night everyone!
"Of course brother. Ill gladly join you in the chapel. Or the pits if you prefer." Noctis chuckled. Noctis turned to leave the room and wait for Stevanus outside but stopped at the doorway. "Think I should tuck the rune under my power armor?" He smiled. Then exited the room and waited in the hallway.
