Yeah still can join. If you are going to make a character at least say Chapter & Class so I can throw you in and modify the intro a bit. Or you just take a pre-made char.
Alright then. I would like to play Raptors chapter Tactical marine, exceptional marksmen tyranic wars veteran. Ill post character sheet in a sec.
The Raptors never engaged in any of the Tyrannic Wars so I gotta deny that. http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Raptors_(Chapter) I suggest any of the campaigns listed under 'Notable Engagements'
Chapter: Raptors Class: Tactical Standard Equipment: Astartes power armour (Mark VII/7) Astartes bolt pistol 3 Astartes frag grenades 3 Astartes krak grenades Raptors Chapter pattern combat knife, jungle spec. repair cement one Chapter Trapping - short chain with attached Orc Nobz teeth (about 15) hanging from the belt Astartes bolter with fire selector one additional clip of Special Issue ammunition per mission Appearance: His skin is bright, his eyes and hair dark - as most raven guard successors this is his recognisable feature. He seems to lack any scars. Thats true only on his face. His torso is marked with a huge scar after Orc managed to land a blow with his power claw. 2.25 meter tall, 650kg heavy with armour. He is relatively young for an Astartes seconded to the Deathwatch. Past: The Raptor fought in a campaign in the Third war for Armageddon along his company (4th) and four other companies of his chapter deployed to this war zone to stop the advance of the massive Orc Waagh. He distinguished himself in the equatorial jungles during hit and run engagements with Orcs, taking huge kill tally. He operated with his 4th Company behind enemy lines for almost half a year. they took heave casualties and were redeployed to Battle Barge Brid of Preyi for resupply. During that long a boring moments spend upon the deck of void ship Terath was informed about his new purpose, a new chance to serve the Imperium. His expertise in tracing Xenos and especially preparing ambushes made him look worthy in the eyes of Deathwatch. He was commissioned for service in the watch two years ago. Power Armour History: The Power Armour he wields is the standard issue Mark 7 Power Armour. it doesn't distinguish him among Deathwatch members, yet he was chosen to wield it by his Captain and it is indeed a very special piece of amour. It was wielded by two former Raptors seconded to Deathwatch before him. Both returned alive and left the armour in the Chapters Armouries. Now its Terath's turn to wield it with honour. Personality: He is a solitary soul. He doesn't look for company. He seems to be in constant state of hyper-awarness. This is how he became after operating behind enemy lines. He lacks any sense of humour or seemingly ability to show any human emotions. His face expressions are limited. Thats at least how he appears to those that doesn't know him much. He values brotherhood above all things. he is dedicated to serve and die by the Emperors command, and he is eager to distinguish himself. Name: Terath _________________________________ I know this can look bit mary suish but let me tell you this: ill develop him during play
Doesn't seem mary-sue at all. Just a question. Is the machete more for ceremonial purposes? Then I hope I won't see it too much in combat. If it is not ceremonial. Then replace your Astartes Combat Knife with it. Just like Imperial Fists and Storm Wardens can replace certain swords for the Combat Knife.
I'd say its more of a combat weapon that looks more impressive (standard dmg), than a ceremonial thingy, given the practical nature of Raptors. One more question can I be slightly more specialised with piloting thunder hawks than it is in standard case, a natural gift or extensive training?
