This feature does not need to be in an mmo. It's okay for games like Battlefield and Call of Duty. But it does not need to be in the Eternal Crusade. Planet Side 2 has a feature that shows WHO killed you and with WHAT. But it does not betray their location. Having a kill came would destroy the element of surprise in combat. Likewise it would affect the games performance and needlessly waste the developers and programmers time. It's best too keep this feature to simple shooter games like BF, COD, Halo, etc and out of MMO FPS/TPS titles.
If it was a close combat kill like an execution I wouldn't mind it because you obviously know the player's location but anything from range or anything that shows the locations of the opposition...I'd prefer not to see.
Especially if you're acting as a sniper role. Part of the role is stealth and it would defeat the point if the enemy knows where you are after taking them out, prior.
I would actually argue Anti-Armor is more important here, If we see any kind of heavy vehicles well placed AT is going to be key to counter them.
I can see where your getting at there. I can't help agree, it would be nice too know HOW your tank was taken out in the heat of battle. I get rage moments when I don't know how or where the damage occurs on my tank in Planet Side 2. That said, I'd still prefer the point of origin for the kill shot remain unknown.
I voted no, but I would like to have all the campers exposed. It will suck if they have a 'stealth' and/or sniper class in the game. Will ruin the flow of battle in my experience.
I think it would be awesome to have death cams similar to planetside 2. Here's a new idea though: it shows a replay of your character right before he died but blacks out the background and everything that could be revealing, and then once he starts receiving damage it dramatically goes to slow motion so you could watch your hero tragically die before you.
