What if it was something like this: 1 chop: light heal to damaged ally 2 chops: medium heal with speed debuff (6 seconds) 3 chops: medium heal 4 chops: full heal 5 chops: full heal with frenzy buff (6 seconds) This would all be on a progress bar so the Painboy would have to hold down whatever button next to his wounded teammate--the longer he could do so the greater the heal. The Painboy could heal quickly, but would debuff his mates. If he took the full time, the wounded Ork would be fully healed and receive a buff due to "improvements." EDIT: I suppose that the full 5 chops will take about 5 seconds. If the debuff overrides the buff, then it would reset at the next 2 chops, so you could not perma buff someone. A single Painboy could stand behind an Ork constantly chopping (i.e., healing) away, but at every reset of two chops the buff would be lost and a debuff would be in its place, the debuff lost at three chops, and the buff not reattained until 5 chops. Also due to this, he couldn't perma buff himself. I don't think you'd need an internal cooldown with this mechanic and these durations. Of course, this is all just off the cuff...
Orks should never stand still They are made to charge at the enemy If the painboy needs to stand around for 5 seconds to patch someone up the he doesn't fits into the ork horde Painboy need a quick heal which doesn't even require to stop Some kind of heal gun would do the job Or let him be able to drag around mates and heal them will still charging at the enemy
Oi prefer mah Dokz to get me back in da fight quicka. Iz dun need no ork muckin' about wit me insides unless I can't fightz no mo'. Da Dokz shud jus be able ta pick da Boyz back up quick-like, and make dem Boyz stronga for each Ork da Dok un-deaded. Who doesn't want sum new bitz from some git who don't need em no more? (painboyz/dokz cant heal, but can give out fightin juice to live boyz (buff/cant go below 1 hp), and can instantly pick up downed Orkz, granting that Ork bonus HP, Damage, or Speed (bonus points if its random) with this bonus getting stronger for each Ork picked up by the dok/painboy)
Fightin' Juice! It would have a close/contact application range and be quick to apply, similar to the Apo heal. The Juice! heal would be a smaller initial heal but have a long and slow HoT, allowing Orks to survive a bit longer so as to charge across a killing field to cover. If an Ork goes Down with the Juice! active they would have increased crawl speed and increased Down HP and be slowly healed, requiring more shots/hits to Finish/Kill. If the Ork has a certain percentage of their Down HP left(I.E. 83.5%) when the Juice! wears off they could be auto-revived to the Critical State.
Rather not have a heal class for orks at all tbh, pain boys aren't in the main fight healing anyway. Would prefer just having the boyz be extra hard and have a seperate means of staying getting back in the fight compared to others. If we gotta have em though i vote the sustained buff/debuff but let em drag corpses/downed allies away to do it.
I can't say I like the idea of a randomized buff, debuff. Maybe temperary bonus to max health, like overshields.
