As you may or may not have seen. I bought on accident more than 1 of the L.E. Weapons. I am willing to give them to the corresponding races as seen in this thread: http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/i-derps-x-x.44996/ Now I do not know if everyone can go to that post, but I will be making a post in every race thread I have spare LE gifts for. Now I will make this a bit complex(Only by making both contests as one contest consisting of a 1st 2nd and 3rd place winner in one thread) and the contest is to either: 1: Make an epic story of a battle between Eldar and Dark Eldar fighting to reach the planet or 2: Have a character cosplay of your own creation to make the coolest ELDAR or DARK ELDAR you would want to be.(You must have a story to go with your cosplay to make it EPIC and tell who you are.) You may also have a cosplay character of a made character/hero/Aspect Hero aswell. ***I WOULD BE VERY IMPRESSED IF SOMEONE WERE TO BE DRAZHAR*** (I did say Dark Eldar is allowed; just keep that in mind.) Now for how the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners prizes of how they... GIT! The winner gets this nicely polished: RELIC LIMITED EDITION: WYRMFANG SPEAR*EDIT* The latest you may submit a entry will be 9-6-2015.*EDIT* Winners will be announced through this very post. The only entry and winner is Mr_Bob! There will be another chance later on when I get back from the other races contest. Here is the short story Mr_Bob wrote: "The red and black striped squad of Eldar Windriders were given an important task within the Webway. Given the impending war effort needed on Arkhona a safe and secure pathway was needed from the Craftworld of Saim-Hann to the planet. Advance warriors and guardians were already in place on the planet’s surface in order to establish a stronghold. Predicting the impending war well in advance by the Eldars’ Farseers, the Council sent fleets of scouts to the planet in Realspace, using stealth and speed to evade detection. Now, with a foothold on Arkhona’s surface, a link back to the Craftworld had to be forged in order to facilitate the transport of the Eldar armies. This Windrider squad was tasked with navigating the Webway tunnels and finding this secure path from Arkona to Saim-Hann. The squad consisted of 10 Guardians noted for their Jetbike riding skill, and a Warlock atop a Vyper, acting as commander and support for this dangerous high-speed mission. The mission across the ruins of the Webway had thus far been uneventful. To ease the monotony, some of the Windriders raced each other across the wastes, enjoying the sport. The Warlock would normally deal with the lack of discipline, but he had been foretold by his superior that the mission would be a success and a secure passage would be found. Trusting in the Farseer’s words, the Warlock allowed the Windriders’ rivalries. The terrain was mainly deserted and grey, but suddenly changed when the squads’ path came to a cliff face, split by canyon pass. The Warlock could sympathetically feel the Guardians flush with excitement at the prospect to race through the narrow canyon path. However, the Warlock felt the pass was too dangerous of a place should they be ambushed. The order to fly above the pass utilizing the limited flight of the Jetbikes’ Anti-Grav thrusters went out, simultaneously quashing the troops’ excitement and reasserting command. This was a good decision. Speeding through the air, and gaining elevation the Eldar could see something they could not have expected, something that smelled of danger: a derelict sprawl spanning across the top of the cliff. The squad knew their path was not near Commoragh, but the larger Webway ruins could still be occupied by Dark Eldar, or worse. The call for formation and full vigilance went out. It was decided the best tactic would be to speed through the urban landscape at low altitude; they would be moving too quickly for any resistance to be mustered should their incursion be detected. This was a good decision. The Jetbikes formed up three by three through parallel streets with the Vyper providing overwatch. The streets were quiet and empty, but much more shadowy than the open wastes from before. The formation was passing under a series of arches when the Warlock felt a presence. There in the dark underside of an arch a nigh-invisible shadow of a humanoid descended on the left formation. “Mandrake” was the thought relayed to the squad. The bestial Dark Eldar landed on the middle Jetbike, its impact jarring both the pilot and shadow. It was a moment before the beast began to savage the defenseless Guardian, but in that moment the Eldar were already reacting. The unit behind began firing its Shuriken Catapults, while the Warlock trained the Vyper’s Shuriken Cannon on the enemy and opened fire. The Mandrake was blasted off the Jetbike and splattered against the rapidly moving ground. The attacked pilot regained control of the vehicle, but had the hilt of a blade protruding from his ribs. Cursing the ill-fortune, the Warlock directed the squadron into the larger streets to avoid back-alley ambushes. This was a bad decision. The main thorough-fair of area sprawl was the canyon pass, which extended far below the Eldars’ current position. However, carved into the walls of the Webway were the various quarters of the denizens who eked out a living in this place. The squad of Jetbikes were in full view of the Dark Eldar below. The Warlock could feel malice being directed at them just as an alarm sounded through the area. The command for full speed went out, but it did little good: a high speed race of evading death began. Four Reaver Jetbikes suddenly ascended on the Eldars’ position, blasting one of the Guardians out of the sky in a hail of Splinter weaponry. One Reaver tried to circle behind and bring its weapon to bear before the Shuriken Cannon ripped it out of the sky. The other Dark Eldar engaged their targets Jetbike to Jetbike. One Reaver used its under-side blade to spike into the hull of a Jetbike, immobilizing the vehicle while another Reaver pilot fired a Shredder, immobilizing the Eldar. The Jetbikes careened towards the wall, in an attempt to smash the vehicle. Sensing his doom, the Guardian entered a death spiral with the still hooked Reaver, causing both to crash and explode. The rear guard Eldar turned their Shuriken Catapults on a Reaver disabling its Anti-Grav engine. The Dark Eldar jumped to a Jetbike below but the Guardian deftly evaded the attempt, causing the Dark Eldar to plummet into a fatal full stop. The air suddenly thickened with enemies as a gang of Hellions joined the fray. Using their Skyboards to ambush the Eldar from the front, they filled the air with Splinter shards and closed for a deadly joust. A lightning quick melee ensued which saw a Hellion bisected by a Jetbike fin who in turn bisected the head of the Guardian. Eldar and Dark Eldar alike were riddled with rounds. Two Eldar had been traded for six Hellion. Losing the element of surprise the remaining Reaver scattered and the Jetbikes sped past the slower Skyboards. There was a brief reprieve as the onslaught subsided, just until the Warlock experienced a terrible foreboding. A beam of dark matter lanced through the leading Jetbike causing a large and disorienting explosion. A Venom transport was suddenly upon the squad, bearing a regal looking Dark Eldar bearing an emblem of bloody thorns. Raising his flaming sword high, a ripple of psychic energy was loosed, incinerating another Eldar. Wasting no time against such an enemy the Warlock made a rash decision. Using his telekinetic powers on the transport, the Warlock pulled the Vyper and Venom together in a deadly embrace before unloading the Shuriken Cannon on the Dark Eldar and his psychic artifact. Unfortunately, such actions would not go unnoticed in the Webway. The fire, blood, and psychic power was too much for the latent Warp rift to bear. The barrier between the Webway and the Warp strained and ripped across the length of the canyon pass. All manner of lesser daemons descended, eager to feast upon Eldar and Dark Eldar alike. A pink Horror leaped upon the Vyper before its face was stabbed with the Warlock’s Force Sword. The Horror’s smiling face shifted and its maw bit off the Eldar’s arm. The Warlock’s gaze blurred and shifted to the nearest Jetbike pilot. His gaze never left as he was consumed. A lone red and black Jetbike passed through the secret Webway Gate of the Saim-Hann Craftworld. The pilot relayed his incredulous report to the present Seer. “The Warp Rift was foreseen and used to eliminate the Dark Eldar threat in order to secure a path to Arkhona. How is it you have survived?” “I haven’t.” he replied before collapsing, the hilt of a poisoned blade protruding from his ribs. The Soulstone was preserved and entered into Infinity Circuit. It may yet do battle on Arkhona again, this time as a mighty Wraith under the red and black colors of Saim-Hann." - Mr_Bob My thoughts on this are just words I can not even describe to be a great story (DEFINATLY A COOL STORY BRO!) But in all seriousness it just shows how much dedication he put into it. WINNER FROM MAY 16th! *edit*
Again about the same theme? I was sad that there were not that many responses to your generous giveaway, but it didn't feel right to submit a halfassed story without competition. Hopefully I have a bit more time for the next one (I first have to read up a bit on Darkeldars^^)
I guess I will make a longer due date for these then. I will keep that in mind next time. I will rotate back to this after the other 3 have had theirs. Cheers to Mr_Bob!
