He walked slowly around the corner where the shadow had been disappeared.... The shadow now remained still on the floor, as Samuel looked up to face 'the elusive lord', 'he' bounced into his face. "MEOW!" A wild white cat attacks Samuel Heinrich, hugging his face!!!

OOC: Darn it was one of those times when it was actually just a cat, anyway I could have written that last post better I meant 'Elusive lord' as in finding the Lord marshal Glowstone and was already marching off to find him.

Samuel pried the cat off his face, momentarily shocked by the ambush he smiled amused at the relatively inconsequential nature of this would be 'benefactor' so to speak. Placing the cat down on the ground he stroked the feline before standing up to move on. he muttered to himself as he continued on his way.

'Some Shadowy figure or enemy house agent that was, I need to make a note to look out for that Feline in future for my own sanity.'

The cat purred and rubbed it's head against the leg of the Heinrich and then strolled after him. It seemed to like the weird stranger. And his face was a cuddle-fest!

As Samuel moved along, he spot a Glowstone. It might not had been his 'target' but it was probably a start. Except if Marshal would have disappeared in the same fashion as Oliver. Judging by the looks, clothes and statue it must had been Lucian Glowstone. Heir of the house. Just fourteen now, but already quite a man. Though he probably was not going to be much of a combatant and rather a wise lord with all the Garadillo blood in his veins. It would be interesting to philosophize though who had it worse. The West blooded heir of Glowstone, or the Lionheart Bastard. At least he was a south-breed, even if a bastard. On the other hand the Garadillos were basically the Arbitrators of the west, therefor he could be quite just.

Though would he know where Marshal, his uncle, is?

Samuel pondered the idea of talking to the Glowstone, doubtless Lucien would ask what a Heinrich would want with his uncle and given Samuel's mission of retribution a conversation to ask where he is might quickly become confrontational. If information could be extracted out of Lucien however it would be almost certain that it would be an accurate idea of where Marshal could be, but Samuel would have to careful to make sure that such an acquirement does not escalate the current goal into a family vendetta. Though such an outcome will bode ill for the entire kingdom on the brink of war it was likely the absolute worst case scenario only to happen if Samuel blundered this chat in every possible way simultaneously.

'Greetings Lucien heir of Glowstone, I trust you are in good health. Although this is but a passing meeting I would request some information regarding your uncle, I have some business with Marshal Glowstone but I do not know where he is. It is strictly regarding a matter the transpired yesterday during the revelry of last night and I am acting on behalf of one of my family that requested my participation in this errant.'

"If you have business that goes both sides, then certainly he will seek you as well, milord of Heinrich. What assures you, he is not standing in your quarters this very moment? As for running errands. Not a thing I would expect from a young Lord, on the other hand you are the brother of Oliver, so mayhap you are on an errand for the true heir and disguise it as yours to not be ashamed? Or... Mayhap you desire to interrupt whatever meeting the two of them could have? Alas. You tell me, milord."

As to be expected by a brood of Garadillo, he philosophized, assumed, presumed and twisted all possible scenarios around, not shy to speak each of them. While at the same time being oblivious that he could emotionally harm the secondborn.

'The business at least on my part does not go both ways I am acting as agent of my aunt Hildegard Heinrich who had dealings with Marshal Glowstone, yesterday as I have said already I agreed to participate with my aunts after she called out to my code of honor. As for my brother he very much has nothing to do with this, in fact the only reason I am here now is because Oliver directly declined to take part which means Hildegard's request now falls to me.'

"So you are running his errand. He was supposed to, you do it instead. What is the difference if he brought you to it directly or manipulated Hildegard to do so in his name? In the end you are just a puppet of his, who does what he is supposed to. If I would be in your position, I would not fulfill the errand. You got dragged into it like we all get dragged into another war. What is the worst case scenario that will happen? Your aunt complaining at your father for not having done in her place? Merely say it is not your responsibility. Which it truly isn't. Take some pride and stop getting yourself pushed around." He reached down and picked the white cat up, rubbing it's chin.

"But a beautiful feline partner you got there. As white as the snow in Lykaion. Just like an infants soul is supposed to radiate. Pure. Innocent. Without a flaw." Lucien looked back from the cat to the Heinrich. "I believe Marshal is at the delegation breakfast." He eventually revealed and let the cat back down.

This had been the second time someone had pointed out to Samuel that he was only second to his brother today and seemingly in quick succession to the first, and this time he also had the extra frustration of being told he was only cleaning up after his brothers scraps. At least now he knew of Marshal's location and that went a long way to keeping the frustration off his face as he now pondered this new predicament, with Marshal now presently in the delegation it would result in a lot of explaining before he could resume his bid for the tournament.

'Thank you, this has been great help. In the meantime I cannot stay and chat, I still have a busy schedule for today, farewell Heir of Glowstone'

Heinrich moved further down the corridor in the general direction of the delegation quarters, he didn't have a plan for what to say or do if Marshal Glowstone wasn't there but in the meantime he was content to at least have a lead as to where he is.

The man shrugged and went after the business he truly came for. Heading for Lady Lionheart...

<Some time tracking down later; depending where @Casavay likes>
"Milady Lionheart. At last, I found you." The young man said and bowed deeply. "Lucien Glowstone, heir to House Glowstone in flesh and blood, asking for a private audience." Despite being young, he had not the temperate of Uchiha, but he had a charming look, soft voice and was on top of current fashion. It was obvious he cared for his image, but she knew that the Glowstones are different on surface than they are within. They might live in a swamp, but their knowledge and prowess is not to be underestimated. They were a full house vassal with forts and a voice in the kingdom. Not just any other family like the Guttenbergs, De Vergara or Cao.

"...and do the troughs of the peasantry spill over with feed?"
    "Yes, your Grace."
"Do you reply with certainty, Hannelore? Milord insists strongly on all bellies being contently asleep while the games are in progress. If famished rider black visits just once, he would have my head - figuratively - and then I would make sure I would have yours - literally, rest assured, a pike most fetching I already had prepared near those lovely violet blooms in the gardens. That poor scarecrow needs some sleep too..."
    "Yes, your Grace."
"And what about lodging? Have we already received word from they who were called upon to provide proper quarters for our guests?"

It went on and on, preparation for the tournament a tedious duty but a duty nonetheless. Like the Skythean Hydra, a thousand-mawed beast, and every snicker snacked head would only result in two more heads to snackly snicker off again. The infamous gibbering of it, a horrible noise turning men insane, was quite nicely emulated by the horrifying complications and mind-boggling stupidity of them who the Lady had to work with.

On the other side of the coin, the literate Hannelore who had been promptly recruited to aid the Lady in some clerical affairs and organizatory businesses had never in her humble life been so close to strangling the small, dark-skinned Kharonis spawn. Or anything larger than a chicken at all, really. But having to put up with someone whose idea of being funny consisted of making thinly-veiled threats to your life, and whose idea of being serious involved not at all veiled threats to your life, that was the stuff that changed people. This service was done more out if loyalty to her liege than anything else, even if she did enjoy watching the great tournament, and gossiping about the nobles who did, would, could enter the tournament (especially those fighting for the love of the Lord's youngest daughter) warmed cold nights and made slow hours pass.

Pythiaere dictated, Hannelore slaved on. At least until the sudden appearance of the Glowstone heir interrupted their work.

"Out with you, Hannelore", she said with a dismissive gesture of her hand, the peasant scribe following her order quickly and gladly. The lady's eyes were set on Lucien, however. She knew him, and knew he was quite sleek and dangerous in diplomacy. Kharonis survival instinct kept her wary, and so, maybe unknowingly, she circled him.
"Consider your wish granted, milord. Do tell, what business brings you here, and might I assume it has to do with my daughter's hand?"
