So I've been looking at a lot of EC stuff, especially about the commanding system. I'm going to be pointing out any flaws or something, rather trying to expand on it. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if someone has already made this thread also.

So I think EC should do what was done in BF4 with the commander app. Think of how convenient it would be to have an app on your phone/tablet that will give you updates on your squad, battles, stuff like that. If your squad is in a tight spot, you will know and you can send them some ammo or even a tank from your phone. Now if you're a council member obviously this would all be expanded on, you could review a 2d map of arkhona and send commands to your faction on positions to take/hold. Remember, not everyone will be able to sit at their computer all day, if commanders want to have a constant impact on whats going on in the game, I think something like this should be developed.

Anyway that's my idea, I really do think that having a mobile app will allow commanders much more flexibility.
