Since I haz no one on founders server to test with this was the quickest way to feel this Shield Bro thing out...I reallllllllly don't play them very often and I really do main chaos lol.

Actually last time I played them I recorded a good chunk of it so I can get a more educated opinion on them first hand vs hearsay.

Anyway. You need to read my posts more carefully. In the other thread I think I said like 3 times I'm not saying the shield is OP, especially not in its defensive role. Some mechanics and values are quite off and need adjustment but the defensive potential isn't OP per se. What I'm saying is the Shieldbro is way too much of a beast in the offense.

I would say it lives up to the hype.

But another important factor is missing, the Skipper's little buddy Gillian. You need that apothecary to instant heal you and be back in the fight. Or juice you up before a fight (kind of too Dark Eldar for me).

I thought SM had combat stims hard wired into their biology. Why does an apo need to do that.

Gameplay> lore perhaps?

I mean lore wise the Storm Shield is supposed to be able to tank a lascannon hit...but that would be silly from a gameplay standpoint. How many people honestly are going to stand still long enough to get hit by a lascannon as a shieldbro anyway.

Lore-wise they are available to elites/officers not to rank and file.

maybe they can replace the FIRST AID KIT CASE (lol)

Shield is doing what it supposed to do. Also I think that it should work on the left side while not risen. Shield not disappear, right?
But it's still OP.
So we can fix shieldbro, not shield itself. Make them jump like heavy guys and remove climbing. Just cose shield is huge like heavy bolter. So we'll have tough tank and strong melee character, but with a tactical weakness.
Just redusing shield durability is not an option.
