As disgusted as he was with the vile xeno's physiology, Platonus forced fed himself all the information available. He didn't just pick and choose to memorize the weaknesses of the enemy like the other boys, but memorized every last shred of information possible. As he finished up he could hear the footsteps coming closer to the chamber, though it was not power armour boots. Maybe one of the Sergeants took off his armour? No the boy's never seen an astartes ever part with their armor before. Have to be one of the servitors.

Platonus quickly shut off the holo-desk and went to hide in a spot near the doorway. Hopefully it'll give him a few seconds to avoid detection when whoever's coming enters the chamber.

Alas, it was a Serf! Platonus could recognize the figure from the corner of his eye. It was a very young one, just a couple years older than Platonus himself, perhaps like fourteen to sixteen or so. The young man sighed and started talking to himself. "Destined to become a hero, a man with his own legends, they said...." He broomed the briefing room in a circular routine, would Platonus move along with the pattern he easily could leave undetected, or remain and listen to him, perhaps even approach the man.

In truth, Platonus had hoped it would be a servitor. At least those cybernetic servants have knowledge of where a vox-box might be located. A serf is just another human servant, prone to mistake and discontent. Had Platonus been bigger or more like an astartes, he would've stepped out of the shadows to chastise the older boy. Alas Platonus was little better than the grumbling boy at the moment, and he have no wish to listen to another person grumbling all day. With his chance Platonus slipped out of the briefing room, and dreaded every step as he went to report his failure to the Sergeant.

OOC: Maybe Platonus should've joined the blood ravens instead XD

After receiving no response from Icelos Hadrian looked back towards the demolition charge at the far end of the bomb range, he rested his thumb on the trigger of the remote detonator as he momentarily pondered what exactly he should do. Icelos had indeed shot the target he just simply did not declare that he did, and on the face of things when the second target emerged he had either panicked or simply plain forgotten what he was meant to do, it was a grim mistake that Hadrian recognized, other kids have disappeared into the dark on his home planet for less.

Hadrian put pressure on the Remote trigger switch pushing it downwards until it made a beeping sound, barely a second later the demolition charge at the end of the bomb range went off covering a large area of the field with a fiery blast. back in the booth Hadrian looked away to gently place the remote detonator back on the table next to him, as the explosion subsided the boy stood to attention waiting for his superior's judgement.

"He was just ordered to eliminate the one target Sergeant. But an enemy at that range would be a threat that would have to be eliminated as well right Sergeant?" Now Shulk was slightly confused, because if one didn't act on an enemy in his face he would surely die. While on the other hand there was clearly a reason for not firing again, he just couldn't figure out what that reason was.
