You go off what you believe, Autarch (your profile image). I go off what is known. Brent said that veterans (& Chosen for CSM) were going to be the first Elites to be added after Load out systems are implemented in a livestream. But without a Twitch Episode summaries to reference it takes me too long to find where he said it as that requires me to watch through the episodes I think it's in, I can only guess but it may not be accurate (my guess is episode 39. Skimmed through but didn't find it.). Luckily he said it elsewhere & even described them (which I find much easier by using Ctrl+f on the webpage): 14. (team question) How much more effective will the first Elites be beyond the Basic classes in combat ? How will they influence the players around them and will they be a class that your team tries to protect or will they be leading from the front ? BRENT: The very first elites will be the veterans, who don’t have any unique items, powers or skills - they just have more loadout points compared to the basic classes so you can equip more stuff. In that regard, it will be up to you to determine how they should be used. - said in 25th forum Q&A Answers Compilation Thread page 3 post #30. Says they're Elites again here in an exciting answer about Warlords: 7. Are War Lords/Commanders a distinct class (Captain) or can they be anything and will they have a Command Squad (veterans only)? BRENT ELLISON: Warlords can be any class, but they are allowed to play elites (such as veterans) or heroes for free. On top of that though, they have unique visualization to communicate their status, including colour changes and a cape. We won’t be making an official, unique Command Squad, but we are looking at the possibility for the warlord to give free elite spawns to a group to simulate something similar. - said here in forum Q&A Answers Compilation Thread page 3 post #25. Warlord with Farseer hero able to hand out Seer Council spawns? (if they are an Elite class that is) Or Exarch spawns to act as Honor Guard for the Autarch Hero? Exciting! They're going for horizontal progression and the concept you say is vertical progression, it's an obvious significant advantage for long time players over newcomers or players new to a class. You are right about them being in class progression though. There will be cosmetic ways to show veterancy as Basic classes as well as the experience to be truly versatile with available load out options.
An update: 9. A question about Eldar: Given that only Aspect Warriors will be playable in the game, which color scheme do you plan to give the Aspect Warriors? The Craftworld's color, Aspect's color, or a mix of both? BRENT: We’re following GW here, so you primarily see the Aspect’s colour. We would like you to be able to pick shrine colours as well though. Your Warlock and your vehicles will take on your Craftworld colours. - from the 26th batch of questions in the forum Q&A Answers Compilation Thread, page 4 post #31. Bah. I wanted saim-hann colors on mine. Are there any Banshee shrines with more red? Crimson Scream with red helmet & black mane but lexicanum doesn't say what craftworld they're attached to.
The fact that in lore the craftworld isn't specified will likely mean you can use most of the different shrine schemes for any craftworld (hopefully)
I may be late to the party but I would prefer if it were a choice wether you show your aspect's or the craftworld's colour.
I am late to the party, but I wish Alatoc was included! As I do not wish to read threw 40 pages of... stuff... How are the little cultural details of Paths and exarchs going to be addressed?
Not sure if it's been posted here already because 40 pages long thread Customization for Banshee wig/helmet hair styles, yes please!
I, for one, like that elderps will actually look like a unified fighting force. All the red and blue and green and blue and yellow running around in completely different iconography on the SM side is a bit... Strange. We aren't even out of RGB yet and it looks odd.
