  1. I rarely disagree with what you say Tarl, but on this I think having accents be craft world colours would be best, and keep a over all theme to the army. btw them banshees look hella cool. I had a red unit in my samhain army way back when

I dont mind being disagreed with lol after all we're talking cosmetics mate, aesthetics is always a personal choice

My one and only objection to Aspect colour palettes that isnt purely aesthetic is by colour coding our classes we give the enemy a heads up on what to expect from a greater distance,

We look and see an enemy at a distance and while they are far enough away that their weapon is hard to identify we can only determine their chapter/legion/klan by the characters colour palette,
    eg:
"I can see three space marines moving around to the left, 2 red and one grey"
"so its two blood angels and a space wolf, shit wonder what theyre packing"

They would be able to identify our class from our colour palette which tells them what weapons we might likely be carrying etc,
    eg:
"I see 3 eldar moving around to the left, one white and 2 greens"
"shit, its a banshee and 2 scorpions, fall back off the bottlenecks and keep those CQC bastards at range"

While this advantage in early identification of threat probably wouldnt make a great difference it is still a small tactical advantage we're giving to the enemy

I don't know if this was mentioned or not, but I would gladly pay real money for being able to choose colours of a minor craftworld (like Iybreasil, for example), and would consider paying even more for being able to design colours for my own craftworld.

    Just a thought.

I really think Craftworld colors need to be Primary with Aspect offering hightlights at most.

The main reason for this is that Craftworlds need to be represented primarily otherwise they just become something in the background that you use you xp towards. In this regard it would be more appropriate to just give us Paths to follow instead of Craftworlds to represent.

Every other faction out there is going to be representing their chapter, legion or warband via colors. It makes the army more unified to what sub faction your seeing.

Also as Tarl mentioned, you can identify eldar class and on top each of our classes will have very limited loadout options so it will also give them a fairly accurate expectation to plan for from the other side of the battlefield.

Seriously, not just my opinion but I think it becomes a balance issue if you don't have Craftworld colors primary.

Shurly the best option is to have your craftworld colour palette available + your aspect colour palette. So you can choose how much of each you want.
