I have to admit, it is kinda cheep to just constantly do All-out attacks because it's a bit -"Screw your defences, I'm gonna win by drowning you in attacks!" which just makes fighting a case of "Who wins the most dice roll first" and sucks the fun out of battle. Just my two cents on the matter.
Especially if everyone spams it, and so we all end up dying in the quarterfinals or such. Not a good tourney. Reminds me a bit of people who spam stuff in video games. Just plain annoying, and not really fun. A lack of variety just bores me.
More attacks means more chances of critically failing and gimping yourself But I see where this is coming from If all out attack came with some sort of debilitation if it was used over and over again in succession All out attacking in succession could lead too exhaustion, or more chances to miss or something. Just so drowning your opponent in attacks doesn't become the only true option, and such a tactic needs to be used smartly. It only seems to become a disadvantage when you're being double (or tripled) teamed.
I understand that too. But to me it just feels like a lack of care or creativity, just like spamming anything in... really anything. Be it the same move in a fighting game or a gun in a FPS, I even get bored when I spam something on my own because it's effective, and thus swap tactics just to have fun. Also, taking into account some people's lack of creative posting, it just seems like a cop-out. :/
I for one still haven't used a single all out attack, so lets see how that turns out for me. As for lack of creativity in posting, don't think there is much to be creative about, we are having fun and killing each other in the arena and that's how I see this RP
The risk of all-out-attack is like one we saw just last round. You got 0 defense and made 0 hits. You just lost-lost. It just appears the blood god is pleased by everyone going full-body-contact against one another. And well, if you wanna live then All-Out-Attack shouldn't be your choice xD That said, it will be interesting if everyone dies already in the semi-finals
